Initially the loans were for $50 and $100 and used to assist farmers in purchasing sheep, cows and/or equipment (Albania: Micro-credits). Ultimately the program not only helped start a profitable rural economy but also introduced the basic concepts of a market economy (Albania: Micro-credits).
Conclusion
The purpose of this discussion was to examine the current activities of the World Bank. We found that the World Bank is currently involved in projects that are designed to assist in economic development and quality of life issues that face people in developing countries
