Scholarly research on planned obsolescence principle has been carried out with limited scope and has produced mixed results. In most research done recently, little work has been done in measuring customer complaint and its impact on innovation, change and company performance. Furthermore, innovation and change founded on customer complaint is often not materializing in many of the business structures. Lastly, focus on ethical leadership in this context is also missing.
