.... Internet such as emails, instant messaging, forums, web conferences, podcasts, blogs, and others are utilize to ensure maximum learning. Although this has done away with the up close and personal conventional teaching methodology, the positive aspects thereto are the far reaching capabilities of online education that enable students from various parts of the globe to benefit from the new system of education.
Teaching, whether conventional or online, has always been both a rewarding and challenging endeavor. I am drawn to the profession not only because it is a worthwhile career but I consider it a vocation or a calling in the service of those who thirst for the acquisition of knowledge - and eventually wisdom. I particularly relish the growth I notice in my students especially when they become knowledgeable in the subject I taught them and are able to apply lessons learned in their lives and their careers. Aside from being able to be a mentor and a guide to my students, a teacher never stops learning and one of the ways to do so is listening to the ideas provided by students and apply them to enable myself to be a better educator.
