From Marxs perspective, the ideal form of government and economic activities was a communist structure where people worked for the government and the government controlled the economy completely. There are many advantages to this type of governmental and economic approach, and Marx argues that Communism is the next step in the logical progression in human economic and political development (Harman, 22). By giving the government control of production and business infrastructure, and by eliminating personal property rights, all people had equal and free access to the things that sustained them in life like food, shelter, and other amenities. From a theoretical perspective, this approach could work, as long as everyone involved in the Communist society was able to feel like they were being given their fare share and able to contribute in a successful way. Governmental control of the economy can also be a good thing for the citizens of a nation because the economy can be developed in a very stable, logical way, as long as those within the government who are in control of economic policy are competent and have the nations best interests at heart (Bergson, 28)
