Comedy genre study
.... and emotionality are emphasized by a humerous situation or situations, and, with the exception of black comedy, a typical happy ending. Comedic film tends to put emphasis on individual stars, a lighthearted plot, a more universal sociologic appeal based on the time period and social norms, and at times political or social commentary (Schatz 14-18). There are, of course, numerous types of comedy, each emphasizing something a bit different. The major types of the comedy genre are:
