Corporations are no longer capitalist machineries instead they are seen as socially responsible entities capacity of moral conduct and accountable for their behavior to employees, investors, suppliers and the community on the whole. Because companies are chartered as citizens of a state and/or nation, they generally have the same rights and responsibilities as individuals. Through legislation and precedents, society holds companies accountable for the conduct of their employees as well as for their decisions and the consequences of those decisions. Because companies make decisions that affect the community at large, it is important that they are held responsible for the consequences of their decisions and hence they are seen as moral agents. But since they are not human beings
