Pediatrics Personal Statement
Through much soul-searching and a great deal of time spent with medicine and with children, it has become clear to me that my desire to help other people has evolved into a desire to help children, and therefore pediatrics is the area in which I want to focus, and the area in which I feel that I can do the most good for others and for myself. My work with children is highly important to me, and I have taken every realistic opportunity that has been offered when it comes to working with children that need and/or want my help. This includes children with serious diseases such as cancer and AIDS, children that have physical handicaps, and children from a burn unit, among others. While I could not help everyone or save everyone that I encountered, the joy that I could offer to so many children meant a great deal to me, and I know that it also meant a great deal to many of the children and their families. I was highly inspired by the strength that so many of these children and their families appeared to have, even in the face of adversity that at times seemed to be overwhelming, and I want to work in a career where I can continue to help others and feel their inspiration of their strength.
While this is the main reason that I want to involve myself in pediatrics as a career, I am also intellectually interested in the field. It is one of the most complex and fascinating areas of medicine, as there are so many different factors that must be accounted for when dealing with pediatric patients, and the field is always changing. I have always excelled academically, and believe that I would do very well when it comes to keeping up with everything that the pediatric field of medicine entails. I also feel that my academic abilities would allow me to succeed in making sure that my patients and their families have the latest information on any of the problems and conditions that they might have, which will help their quality of life, their quality of treatment, and the heightened anxiety levels that often come with health issues.
Pathologists are often called 'the doctor's doctor ' -- when other doctors are experiencing an impasse, they go to a pathologist for advice, to provide clarity. As someone who has always enjoyed working as a teacher and preparing teaching materials, I look forward to this role in relation to my fellow physicians. Upon arriving in the United States to practice medicine, I gained experience in the field of pathology-related research,
Physician Assistant Program Narrative Personal Statement: My Motivation towards Becoming a PA We all have dreams and aspirations. As a young child, my dream was to become a chef. When asked why I wanted to become a chef, my answer was always consistent; "I wanted to delight people by preparing them delicious dishes." As I grew up, I became more informed and my view of the world became clearer -- and it
Family centered care is a noble belief deeming family members and health care staff as equal partners and working collectively to address the needs of the kid. Competency rises when a system synergizes as nurses and patient / family member's honors each other's commitment to heath care. At ____, I served for a year as Editor in Chief for the North American Students Association (NASA), two years as NASA Vice-President for the UAG Student Body, and three years as class president. Nonspecific staining in both the control and experimental groups rendered any possible findings virtually invisible, but ultimately the opportunity to participate in the research process from hypothesis through to data presentation was a tremendous opportunity for me, and I highly value the experience. My taste for research had only just been awoken by my experiences in my third year as an undergraduate, and after completing my degree I signed on
For 2006 and 2007, I have been accepted into the Explorer Program at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. During this time, I also participated on my high school soccer team. I feel I have experience and enthusiasm to offer the medical program and a degree from your institution would be my stepping-stone into the career I have always seen for myself. I hope to complete my education as soon as possible
