Technology has been one of the biggest driving forces in the healthcare industry for nearly as long as such an industry has existed. New and emerging medicines, compounds, insights in the physical and psychological aspects of both illness and wellness that have contributed to medical care are all examples of how technology has advanced the health and welfare of the human population. Health care, often through technology has completely altered the idea of health, the ability of health to be strengthened and maintained and most importantly the delivery of healthcare services to millions of people in the modern world. There is an argument strongly planted in the need to continue to develop health care to its greatest possible state, especially through technological advances,(International Comparisons of Health Care - A Comparison Of Health Care Spending, Resources, And Utilization (2009) , 2009) an issue often voiced by those who deserve such care and those who have foundational investments in bringing health care to the consumer.  For most of recorded history life was, as Hobbes famously said, "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short." Modern medicine has changed some of that& . The technology that is being developed and used inside and in adjunct fields of the healthcare industry is really the backbone of the improvements of medical care in the modern era. Due in part to rising needs of accessibility and cost containment technologies are being implemented, across the board in medical care to improve patient safety, reduce medical errors, improveconnectivity between patient and practitioners as well as practitioners and other healthcare providers and to provide greater ease and accuracy in delivering general and specialized services to individualized patients. Though it would seem contraindicative that technology is being seen as the resolution factor when it comes to providing better health care, given that technology often drives up the initial cost of treatment, with investment in research, development and implementation the truth is that technology is one of the best answers…[continue]
