Opened in 2005 after a period of protracted debate between planners and legislators, the park has struggled to accommodate attendees due to its small size. (Wikipedia1, 1) the result has been a number of incidences in which overcrowding has diminished the park experience, lives have been endangered and riots have even occurred when paying customers have been turned away. Disney continues to defy pressure from Hong Kong lawmakers to reduce its daily admission rates, though Disney plans on extended the size of the resort in the coming years to accommodate demand.
