The text in red is what is actually required for this project. The example attached will show the type of statistics analysis required for the project and how it is put together. Please use same format.
As for the actual data, it can be about anything ie, economical, financial or sports. If you choose data about economical or financial, make sure it is in relation to Australia. If you choose a sports star or sports teams, they can be from USA, Australia, or India (cricket only for India). I will also require the excel workbook, that was used for analysis.
The Statistics in Practice project is designed to develop students skills in the correct usage of statistical techniques and in interpreting data for making managerial decisions. The main task for each pair/individual is to analyse real-life data and prepare a report for management based on your analysis. The focus is on using statistics as a support tool to your discussion ??" not as the sole basis of discussion itself. The data need not be of a business or financial nature ??" indeed, many past students have chosen data relating to areas of general interest, including sport.. The purposes of the project include:
Showing how summary statistics and charts can be used to succinctly present sample data;
And
(1) Identifying the most efficient combination of explanatory variables to predict the response variable for cross-sectional data (multiple regression);

I need 10 relatively current news articles with a brief summary of the articles and how it's related to business law. The articles can be from as early as 20 January to 16 April. The articles can only be dated two in a single week. Here's an example of what I need:
Week Four: February 9, 2012
26 Billion Settlement Announced on Foreclosure, Mortgage Fraud
http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/26-billion-settlement-announced-on-foreclosure-mortgage-fraud/2012/02/09/gIQABVJN1Q_story.html?hpid=z1
This article describes the recent settlement that was reached between five of the largest banks in the United States and both state and federal officials. These banks are Wells Fargo, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, Ally Financial and Citigroup. As a result of the settlement, consumers can expect to see many changes in the lending process. One of these includes a single point of contact for the consumer, as opposed to many people participating in the lending process. This should be good news for both consumers and lenders, who have recently come under strict scrutiny for subprime mortgage lending practices and who have been blamed for the housing crisis. Part of the settlement also includes foreclosure-prevention measures, which should help existing borrowers who have upside-down mortgages.
This settlement clearly relates to business law because it is considered the ?largest joint federal-state civil settlement in history.? States and the federal government recognized the value in settling out of court, as opposed to a lengthy trial that would have cost taxpayers and private entities millions of dollars.
You are required to outline a fictitious case study that includes:
1 an assessment (using bioecological theory and the family and community resource conceptual framework);
2. a plan for an intervention (with measurable, behavioural objectives; focusing on the process of the intervention);
3. a description of a realistic intervention;
4. and an evaluation (using an evaluation framework identified in the Unit materials - Wass ?Promoting Health: A Primary Health Care Approach? (2000, pp. 119-134) or Health Communication Unit. (2002). Evaluating Health Promotion Programs. Toronto: Centre for Health Promotion, )
"Kerry" has twin girls who are now 4 years old. She had been living with her defacto "Dean" for the past 6 years. She is a qualified beautician and has previously run a small business from home before the birth of the twins. She undertook schooling until year 12 (equal to USA high school diploma) at a public school, is one of two children herself and has supportive parents in a middle income suburb.
She left her defacto 10 months ago after two years of domestic violence brought on by the use intravenous "speed". She has an AVO (Aggravated Violence Order) on "Dean" for 12 months. During the previous two years "Kerry" was subjected to physical and psychological trauma, the twins witnessed this abuse. "Dean" is on a fly in fly out basis working in the mines with a roster of 2 weeks on 1 week off, with an income of over $2000.00 per week. During his week off "Dean" would arrive home and commence drug usage. "Kerry" was not allowed to have friends or clients contact her throughout the last 6 months of their relationship and "Dean" would not allow her to buy groceries without him as he spent most of his wage for his drug use.
On our first contact with "Kerry" the twins were withdrawn and would not allow "Kerry" to leave the room without them. They would only eat certain food and then only if they had sauce on the table. They would not interact with other children at preprimary school.

Social Conditioning ? Children are being socially conditioned to be quiet so as not to upset father and cause problems for their mother
Economic Patterns ? Economic boom in Western Australia, father has well-paying job which allows him to access large amounts of drugs.
Feed back from lecturer re above outline:
it is sensisble to use bioecological theory and the resource framework to guide your assessment. The ultimate cause of the problem is in the macrosystem ? an economic climate that rewards uneducated workers with very large incomes and a society that supports the ?macho male? and a culture of high alcohol and drug use. The issue in your scenario is ?family culture? and the decisions parents make as to how they allocate their resources ? spend their money ? see Kendall & Li, 2005.
The children are likely to be traumatised due to the adverse family circumstances they have experienced ? see Shonkoff, Boyce & McEwen, 2009 ? it is very likely the experience will become biologically embedded and affect their stress-responsiveness and suubsequent emmotional, attentional, and social regulataion ? mental health.
Your plan must have measurable objectives ? these should be about what the family members will do not about what you will do. Most objectives should be about the process ofsupport and rehabilitation, rather than the impact and ultimate outcome, although you might have 1-2 of these.
The implementation section should be a realistic description of what might happen in real life ? things hardly go smoothly and to plan.
The evaluation should first identify a suitable framework ? e.g. process, impact, outcome from health promotion. Then you can describe how each of your objectives was met and/or modified in an ongoing process that goes back to reassessment.
Write it up as a formal essay with references ? no lists or dot points

The assignment is to conduct a thorough analysis of the city of Park Ridge, Illinois' public budget. The following criteria MUST be adhered to.
I will provide attachments of lectures in the form of Powerpoint presentations. Please use them to assist in the completion of the analysis. In addition, please try to utilize the text "Fiscal Administration - Analysis and Applications in the Public Sector" Seventh Edition by John L. Mikesell (ISBN: 9780495007401). If you can't find this text, then utilize other sources. Please ensure to cite any references using APA style.
YOU MUST utilize the "GFOA Detailed Criteria Location Guide" - "Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program" document/checklist. This document should be read before the analysis is conducted. The intention of the document to help identify the inclusion of vital components of a superior budget. THIS DOCUMENT MUST BE COMPLETED (ITEMS CHECKED) as part of the final product. I will attach this document as a source document. Please utilize it and PROVIDE A COMPLETED COPY ALONG WITH THE ANALYSIS PAPER.
Prepare a written analysis of the budget's adherence to the criterion in the four key components that make a budget an effective document. The four components are 1) The Budget as a Policy Document; 2) The Budget as a Financial Plan; 3) The Budget as an Operations Guide; 4) The Budget as a Communications Device. AN ANALYSIS FOR EACH OF THE FOUR KEY COMPONENTS MUST BE COMPLETED!!! The document mentioned previously,"GFOA Detailed Criteria Location Guide" - "Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program," includes details for each of the four key components. Each line item is categorized within one of these four components (P = Policy Document, F = Financial Plan, C = Communications Device, and O = Operational Guide).
Lastly, give the budget a grade on its overall adherence to the Budget Analysis Criteria and explain your reasons for the grade. Prepare a written analysis labeled "Budget Grade."
The grading system is as follows:
A - This is an outstanding budget document that meets all the Budget Analysis criteria and does so with the HIGHEST level of quality.
B - This is an above average budget document that meets all the Budget Analysis Criteria and does so EFFECTIVELY.
C - This is an average budget document that meets most of the Budget Analysis Criteria but needs improvement. (Ensure to identify the areas of improvement within the analysis if given this grade).
D- This budget document fails in its attempt to meet the Budget Analysis Criteria. (Ensure to identify the areas of improvement within the analysis if given this grade).
Please make recommendations for improvement. For example, this budget was graded C but could have been an A or B if these recommendations were implemented.
In a nutshell, the assignment requires you to use the checklist provided to see if all the items are included within the budget. The next step is to conduct an analysis on the items within the budget (considering the four key components). Try to make reference to the lectures provided, the text, or any other sources you choose to use. Lastly, grade the budget using the above grading system and make recommendations if applicable.
It is very important that you follow all the directions provided. Please remember the checklist must be completed, an analysis of the budget according to the four components must be conducted, and finally a "Budget Grade" section must be included with a grade and any recommendations.

Task 2: The Business of Ethics Checklist
Structure: Memo (Section A) & Report (section B) or Report only?use your discretion.
Introduction:
In light of recent corporate scandals, the question has been raised whether an effective, enforced ethics program could have impacted the outcome of such massive instances of unethical corporate behavior. Because of the increased scrutiny of the actions of corporations and those who act on behalf of organizations, there has been additional attention placed on the ethical actions within organizations. Many organizations have responded to this increased scrutiny by establishing formal ethics programs to foster ethical decision making for business directors, officers, and employees. Effective ethics programs provide the opportunity for management to establish a culture that establishes ethical behavior, both inside and outside of the organization, as the business strives to eliminate unethical conduct.
Scenario:
Two weeks after you are hired as the elementary division manager by a toy company, you receive a memo from the manager of the quality assurance department. During routine testing, the quality assurance department identified a problem with one of the toys included in the elementary toy collection. The primary market for the elementary toy collection is elementary schools. A metal whistle that is included in the toy collection did not pass testing due to small traces of lead. The amount of lead included in the whistles was slightly above the U.S. legally acceptable limits for children ages 7 and younger. A large shipment of the elementary toy collection is scheduled to be shipped to schools in South America at the end of the week, just in time for the beginning of the school year. The approximate cost to reproduce the product and repackage the toy collections is $100,000.
*Task should provide the following in detail:
Prepare a report for the CEO and the executive team in which you do the following:
A. Present three ways to address the situation, by doing the following:
1. Identify three possible alternatives to address the whistle problem.
2. Explain the decision-making process or method that you used for selecting the alternatives.
3. Evaluate the three alternatives by discussing the advantages, disadvantages, financial considerations, legal considerations, and ethical considerations for each alternative.
Note: All 5 elements must be addressed for each of the alternatives.
B. Recommend one of the three possible decision alternatives.
1. Justify your recommendation.
2. Analyze how your recommendation could affect customer relationships.
3. Discuss the role of social responsibility in your decision-making process.
C. Discuss two actions that the company could implement to ensure that ethical decision making occurs at all levels of the organization.
1. Explain how the company could benefit from a code of ethics.
2. Evaluate a code of ethics for an existing company of your choice.
Note: Sources are required to successfully complete part C2. As noted in part D, all sources should be cited in APA format.
a. Recommend at least three components from that code of ethics that are important to include in the development of a code of ethics for the toy company.
Note: You may conduct a search online to find another company?s code of ethics to analyze. It is not necessary for the company to be another toy company.
D. When you use sources, include all in-text citations and references in APA format.
Task 2:
? Select and explain the decision-making process / model that will be implemented to develop each alternative (i.e. potential solution)
? Develop three possible alternatives to address the whistle problem
? Discuss advantages and disadvantages of EACH alternative
? Discuss financial, legal, and ethical considerations of EACH alternative
? Recommend one alternative to solve whistle problem (i.e. best potential solution)
? Justify recommendation?..How?
o Explain thought processes leading to selected recommendation
o Reason this alternative is preferred over the two
o What benefits can be anticipated from choosing this alternative?
? Analyze decision ripple effects on customer relationships
o Internal and external stakeholders
o Multiple levels
o Thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
? Discuss influence of social responsibility in final decision
o Definition
o Description of organizational social responsibility
o Considerations (i.e. company reputation, media response, customer perception)
? Discuss two actions designed to promote ethical decision-making
Considerations: deep or broad implementations; experiential examples applicable?
? Company benefits of a code of ethics
Considerations: internal and external advantages; clear positive consequences; experiential examples applicable?
? Code of ethics analysis (i.e. positives and negatives)
Most desirable components to imitate
Justify selections?..HOW?
? Explain thought processes leading to selected recommendation
? Reasons this alternative is preferred over two
? What benefits can be anticipated from choosing this alternative?
This reflection should not read like an academic paper. Scholarly reflections ask you to consider patterns of thinking and/or your own experiences, identities, and social locations in relationship to what you have read/learned [see below for an example].
Here is an example of how you can successfully refer to the material without having to use direct quotations/in-text citations:
Before taking this class, I was not aware of the pervasiveness of ableism in American culture. Susan Wendalls The Social Construction of Disability and Eli Clares The Mountain really shifted my thinking about [dis]ability. As an abled-bodied person, I hadnt thought about how super crip messages construct [dis]ability as something to be overcome or transcended. The super crip mentality may seem like positive message at first; however, I learned that it centers ability as the norm and renders invisible the identities and struggles of people with [dis]abilities. Super crip messages imply that [dis]ability is an inherently negative condition and continues to oppress the [dis]abled community.

SAMPLE: Reflection Paper#
1 January 2013
We covered a variety of topics the past two weeks, ranging from disability, health, and gender identity. I noticed that the theme of exclusion kept coming up in the readings, even though it was not explicitly stated. Eli Clares The Mountain suggests that the dominant notion of disability is often constructed by non-community members. Clare suggests that this definition of disability includes only those with the most visible forms of disability (signified by wheelchair use, assistive technology etc), excluding those with less visible disabilities such as individuals with learning disabilities. Susan Wendall explains in her article, The Social Construction of Disability, that the category disabled is socially constructed in contrast to able-bodiedness. Through our social interactions, we learn about and reproduce a specific image of what it means to be disabled that may not reflect the broad range of abilities, identities, and circumstances.
Prior to reading, I did not think about how the term disability conjures certain kinds of imagery. I have certainly participated in this exclusionary behavior, both consciously and subconsciously. I never thought about how identities could be oppressive and how we reproduce these ideas in our every day interactions and language. When I was reading Clares piece, there were moments where I felt ashamed of the way that I may participate in ableism. I now can see that there is a broad range of experiences and needs that fall under a disability identity. I feel committed to being more mindful and not making assumptions about a persons ability status/identity.
I was surprised to learn about myself while reading Clares The Mountain. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2009* and I never considered the possibility of identifying as a disabled person. In particular, Clares concept of the SuperCrip both challenged me and affirmed some my experiences. First of all, I felt really hesitant about the use of the word crip because it is often used as a slur to refer to disabled people, but I can see why Clare may use it here. The SuperCrip is an ableist image of a disabled person or figure that transcends their disabilities and inspires able-bodied people (think Special Olympics imagery). For Clare, this image of the SuperCrip is oppressive because it ignores the very real limitations of a society structured around an able-body and how these norms actively exclude people with disabilities. I can see how Clare uses this term in a way to not only reclaim it, but to identify why this image is oppressive and damaging to disabled people. Not only had I never thought of chronic illness as a disability, but I, too, bought into the idea that overcoming illnesses or body limitations was a positive message. Clare explains that disabled people can internalize this message, too. I can relate to these ideas because I often feel invisible because people dont understand how it feels to have a lupus flare. I can be hard on myself, trying to push through my fatigue and pain. Now I can recognize that I may have some shame about my illness and that this shame may be rooted in ableist ideology. At this moment, Im not sure how I feel about the idea of identifying as a disabled person, but I can certainly see how SuperCrip messages enforce an exclusionary, ableist norm and that these expectations affect my life.
*NOTE: There is no expectation that you disclose information about yourself; however, you should feel free to incorporate what you feel comfortable sharing. The emphasis for this paper is on the learning process and what you learned. Sometimes incorporating our personal experiences can help us work through the course material, but there is no expectation that you do.
There are faxes for this order.
Please answer all questions in 5 sentences or less.
1. What are the benefits and drawbacks of Title IX?
2. How do the benefits of No Child Left Behind compare to the drawbacks?
3. What can teachers do to protect themselves from the possibility of lawsuits?
4. How are legal issues and financial issues related in education?
The paper is about import and export operations. in strategy number one we are a US cotton company selling one product of cotton to brazil. in strategy number two we are buying four products of coffee from brazil. the ttached file hass al the information. two of the pages should be concentrating on the financial plan. the financial plan would only be based on assumptions.
Point of View Analyses (4 of them) This paper needs to refer to Target
Guidelines:
No more than two pages, single spaced, no smaller than 11 point type. Neatness counts.
The case needs to in reference to Target
If you find that you can not fill two pages, you may be failing to examine the issues deep enough.
This is business writing: clear and to the point. Literary and dramatic embellishments are unwelcome.
Treat this as if you are working for the company, that the information is current and as if you are writing to the CEO.
Lead each section with the appropriate heading in Bold Type
Use at least five sources. Two must be mainstream sources such as Wall Street Journal, Forbes, or Fortune. Another needs to be from a reliable financial source so that the action plan can be financially justified. Make sure to list references at end in a way that another person can find them easily if they need to.
Use financial facts to back up your arguments.
FORMAT (Use these headings for each section):
Situation: From the case, summarize the situation and use points. Use this section to provide information supporting your other areas like establishing the problem, causes and solutions. (around a quarter page or less)
General issues facing the company that relates to your problem. Some people use a SWOT analysis.
Facts and information that would you want to know ??" for the problem and solutions.
Problem or Potential Problem: (around a quarter page+) Narrow down to ONE specific strategic problem that you feel you can address. Start the section with The problem is. Problems and causes look alike so consider whether yours may really be a cause of some other problem. For example, something like high oil prices is frequently considered a problem, but it is really a cause of problems like low profit margin for a trucking company).
Specify if it is urgent.
Consequences of not examining this issue: This is important because..??"do not discuss the causes here.
Causes: Causes of problems. (around a quarter page+)
Understand the systems and get to the root of the problems (causes must relate to the problem).
Need at least three causes. Avoid solutions
Alternative Solutions (3 of them): Generate alternative solutions. (around a half page+ )
(The first solution will always be do what weve been doing as one of the options)
For each of the three Solutions:
First sentence: The first (second third) solution is..
Solutions need to offer enough detail to be real alternatives. If problem is low revenue, increasing sales or building market share are a waste of reading time. What exactly should they do to accomplish this?
Solutions need to match the scope of the problem. If you proposed a problem for Wal-Mart such as high labor expense, suggesting a solution such as buying more comfortable chairs would need some explanation as to why this is sufficient as a stand-alone solution.
Points of leverage for the decision makers
Stakeholders-Specify who will be affected and how. What will their reaction be?
Costs and benefits. Every solution has cost(s) as well as benefit(s).
Explain how each solution solves your problem.
Decision: Choose one of your three solutions. Discuss why it is better than the other solutions. (6-12 sentences)
Explain more distinctly why your chosen decision works and why the others dont.
How is it consistent with the reality you established in the Situation section? What is sacrificed?
Action Plan: Implementation of your decision-How are you going to make it happen in the firm? (quarter page -)
What resistance will there be from which stakeholders, why are they resisting and how will you address it?
What are the ramifications for other stakeholders?
What would have to be done? (make a To Do List)
o This do list always begin with assembling a team describe who will be on it and why.
o Establish objectives and budget (how much does your plan cost?)
o To do list will conclude with elements that measure progress and establish when project is finished
o Explain what specifically constitutes success. more or profitable is meaningless. Define your target and explain the logic with financial facts.
International subsidiaries of companies supply a critical link to narrow cultures, business methods and useful marketing strategies. Productively operating an international subsidiary requires dependence on the local duty realization of accounting processes, marketing bringing together, government official procedure submission and merchandise fulfillment behavior. International subsidiary duties must take in ongoing communications as well as status updates, treatment and geographic-specific business situation.
Decisions are dependent on the stage you are at. Presume you are the CEO of a minute business of say 4-5 citizens then you take most of the decisions on your have. You do take clothes like cost, occasion cost, risks etc. into consideration sooner than taking any conclusion. But the time to conclusion is usually swift. While if you are in a better business the metrics to decide are regularly more and there be a lot of advices taken ahead of decision construction are done. Also at hand is a budget for the whole thing.
It depends on the circumstances. Like there are projects which get strong-willed in large companies which have a particular decision production time or in tiny organizations it is the whims and fancy of the possessor.
Typically, the largest part important factor involved is whether or not the result you're making is 'right' or 'wrong'.
This, of course, is correlated wholly upon you and your ethics, moral or else.
Good decision construction is essentially finished when you take in all the factors and be valid them to the judgment assembly process.
Obviously, in this conduit, people tend to appear back on precedent decisions of the similar type and a lot of the time, when each situation is treated the same, impressive called perception comes and bites you in a while on down the road. We've all been here.
The no more than real way to make the right decision is to make a decision at all. I didn't make a decision until it was too late and now I am here explaining the process of a decision to someone who more or less, knows it by now. Everything complicated in decision building is anecdotal

Essay question:
Critically discuss why the concept of food has become increasingly popular as a leisure activity.
Background Information:
Food for many people is not solely about just the 'food as fuel'. Food, for some, has taken on aspects of a leisure activity: shopping [for example farmer?s markets], eating, cooking, reading, TV viewing, blogging etc.
?The purpose of the essay is to investigate the concept of food as a leisure experience, and build your understanding of what consumers are looking for and why. This understanding is important in recognising how and why many food experiences are structured the way they are (eg, cooking TV show: Masterchef) , and how they are interlinked with other cultural experiences. For the hospitality practitioner, this understand is central to the management of any food and beverage operation.
In essay body, I would like to include these major factors which have changed the concept of food as a leisure activity.
? The globalisation
- It has led a stable and abundant food supply at national and international levels which therefore creates a greater variety of food choices for people.
? Media impact
- Mass medias such as culinary TV programmes and recipe books etc designed to entertain viewers by helping them acquire new knowledge and skills of cooking, have changed the notion of cooking as a fun activity by unique ways (igniting in the general public a passion for food and innovative cookery).
- Recipe books edited by famous celebrity chefs / restaurant review websites engage the viewer?s interests and curiosity making them want to have more new and dining experience. (increasing portions of society that are excited to dine out at restaurants as this gives them the opportunity to learn more and understand the artistry and different techniques that can be used in cooking, as well as exposing them to new foods and different tastes.)
? Contemporary philosophy of food (Today, besides physiological needs, higher-level needs are the consumer?s major motivations of food consumptions.)
- People?s eating behaviour has changed/transformed by modernity?consider eating as an experience of food as a part of their status, psychological fulfilment, and considering restaurants as a public space for socialisation.
- Maintaining high quality of food (the process of cooking, ingredients, tastes, visual presentation, inherent theme etc) is important for food service operator.
- Consumers are becoming more like sensational seekers.
- The strategy reflects the innovative concept or novelty is the key to successful food industry.
p.s. In these points, I would like to focus on describing the details of ?Impacts of Mass Media? and ?Contemporary philosophy of food? to clarify and expand the arguments towards the essay topic.
Overall, I would like to emphasise the idea of ?experience engagement by stimulating people?s sense and participation? in the essay.

Fact: I am not really sure what sociological issue can be talked about for this geographical area so I am asking for this help and have provided you with the information I have been given.
Problem: Needed a literature review about a neighborhood issue that is part of the background information presented below. I was thinking single parent families but you may find something better. Use 2-3 outside readings preferable sociological studies about one issue relating to this neighborhood and social mobility (San Leandro, California). Based on the background information I have sent you please focus on one sociological issue using 2-3 sources. This is a literature review only. Perhaps single parent families or if you see a better sociological topic to focus on for this community please feel free to develop a different idea. I just need to have three sources and all need to be APA cited. This is the Literature review part of a big paper.
Assignment: 3 page literature review on one issue relating to neighborhoods and mobility. Use the literature and be sure to cite this using APA.
EXAMPLE: (For example, in my zip code 94109, we deal issues of wealth neighboring urban poverty. I might look up research on segregation in San Francisco. I might also find an article on urban poverty in San Francisco. I will discuss the main point of both articles and relate them to our discussion of racial inequality)
BACKGROUND:
San Leandro is a small suburban city located in the county of Alameda in the American state of California. The city of San Leandro has an estimated population of around eighty four thousand nine hundred and fifty, according to current estimates of the United States bureau of Statistics Census. The city of San Leandro City is one of the major cities in California and has the greatest number of white residents relative to other cities. The average number of Whites (31,946) exceeds the average population of African Americans (10,437), Native American (669), Asian (25,206) and Pacific Islander (642), other races (16, 050) and Latino/Hispanics (23,237 (American Fact Finder 2010). For every ninety-three male residents in the location there are one hundred female residents. An average of one hundred females exceeding the age of eighteen match an estimated eighty-nine males of the same age. The average household income for the residents of this city is slightly above fifty one thousand dollars while that of families falls in the region of sixty thousand dollars. The male residents earn an average of forty one thousand dollars compared to females who bring in thirty three thousand four hundred dollars in income. The entire citys per capita income is twenty three thousand eight hundred and ninety-five dollars, divided between four and a half percent of the citys families and about six and a half of the citys population deemed to be living below the line of poverty (American Fact Finder 2010). The number of individuals living below the level of poverty is inclusive of 7.3 percent of individuals that are aged eighteen years and 6.5 percent of older people whose age exceeds sixty-five years.
San Leandro has a notable presence of single female householders who have children. The household distribution statistics indicate twenty-nine percent of all households being single person households. Female householders with children make up six percent of all the households in comparison to two percent that comprise of male householders with children. This indicates a financial strain on the part of women who have to single handedly cater for the needs of their families (American Fact Finder 2010). These figures also indicate the presence of a flourishing family life in the city with married couples that have children making up twenty one percent of the households and married couples that do not have children being twenty six percent. This indicates that the number of families that practice family planning is significant.
There seems to be a generally equal distribution of resources for both males and females in the city of San Leandro. Although males earn incomes that slightly exceed those earned by their female counterparts, statistics indicate that they earn it the hard way, with a majority of them working in the construction and service industries. There is a slight disparity in the expenditures of males and females in the city. With the presence of single parent households that females head, it is an indication that most of the income earned by females finds use in catering for the family. The statistics paint the city as an area occupied by generally affluent Hispanics, with most of them being homeowners. In terms of economic disparities, the city has a relatively small percentage of people living below the poverty line (American Fact Finder 2010). The city also has enough facilities in terms of education and the health sector although this will merit an address in future because of its notable yearly population growth since the year 2000. For San Leandro city to achieve Race, gender and social equality, it needs systemic changes in social interaction modes and in policy at all levels of the city. As the American Fact finder website illustrates, this includes public services, work, home, media and at school. The American fact finder demonstrates that white and black students attending high school in affluent environments have minimal chances of dropping out of school relative to those attending schools in poor environments. Evidently, the most critical element in bearing on the success rate of students was the affluence of the school and not the racial aspect of the student body. Students attending racially mixed schools scored a high performance relative to students attending all-black schools. Therefore, the distances in the quality of school between all-black schools and racially mixed schools are increasing at the higher education level. As a result, it can be arguably said that absence of the spatial segregation of minorities, most social ills characterizing urban poverty in the city of San Leandro would not exist.
With the deep rooted Race, gender and social factors perpetuating ethnicity, economic inequality, ethnic and racial conflict, educational inequalities, the city is in a tremendous need of reframing the issues and create strategies for change. Framing issues of gender equality is reflected through social justice and human rights. It permits men to view participation in gender issues as actions helping to improve human rights at all levels within the city. This framework of human rights offers a solid instrument for fighting ethnicity, economic inequality, ethnic and racial conflict, educational inequalities in the city.
Below are links to signle parent literature studies as I need 2-3 outside sociological studies as part of this literature review. I have included a couple below but certainly you are welcome to find your own or concentrate on a totally different sociological issue that I am not seeing.

Complete a ten-page (double-spaced) response to the "Robin Hood" case. Students will have to apply textbook concepts to analyze the Robin Hood case. As in real-life most business and management issues do not have questions for senior managers to just answer. Most decisions involve applying information, policies, and sources to resolve mighty complex issues. Please ensure you use at least five citations from either or both textbooks to support your discussion and reflections.

Robin Hood CASE STUDY by Joseph Lampel, New York University
It was in the spring of the second year of his insurrection against the High Sheriff of Nottingham that Robin Hood took a walk in Sherwood Forest. As he walked he pondered the progress of the campaign, the disposition of his forces, the Sheriffs recent moves, and the options that confronted him.
The revolt against the Sheriff had begun as a personal crusade. It erupted out of Robin's conflict with the Sheriff and his administration. However, alone Robin Hood could do little. He therefore sought allies, men with grievances and a deep sense of justice. Later he welcomed all that came, asking few questions and demanding only a willingness to serve. Strength, he believed, lay in numbers.
He spent the first year forging the group into a disciplined band, united in enmity against the Sheriff, and willing to live outside the law. The bank?s organization was simple. Robin ruled supreme, making all-important decisions. He delegated specific tasks to his lieutenants. Will Scarlett was in charge of intelligence and scouting. His main job was to shadow the Sheriff and his men, always alert to their next move. He also collected information on the travel plans of rich merchants and tax collectors. Little John kept discipline among the men and saw to it that their archery was at the high peak that their profession demanded. Scarlock took care of the finances, converting loot to cash, paying shares of the take, and finding suitable hiding places for the surplus. Finally, Much, the Miller's son had the difficult task of provisioning the ever increasing band of Merrymen.
The increasing size of the band was a source of satisfaction for Robin, but also a source of concern. The fame of his Merrymen was spreading, and new recruits poured in from every corner of England. As the band grew larger, their small bivouac became a major encampment. Between raids the men milled about, talking and playing games. Vigilance was in decline, and discipline was becoming harder to enforce. "Why," Robin reflected, "I don't know half the men I run into these days."
The growing band was also beginning to exceed the food capacity of the forest. Game was becoming scarce, and supplies had to be obtained from outlying villages. The cost of buying food was beginning to drain the bank?s financial reserves at the very moment when revenues were in decline. Travelers, especially those with the most to lose, were now giving the forest a wide birth. This was costly and inconvenient to them, but it was preferable to having all their goods confiscated.
Robin believed that the time had come for the Merrymen to change their policy of outright confiscation of goods to one of a fixed transit tax. His lieutenants strongly resisted this idea. They were proud of the Merrymen?s famous motto: "Rob the rich to give to the poor." "The farmers and the townspeople," they argued, "are our most important allies." "How can we tax them, and still hope for their help in our fight against the Sheriff?"
Robin wondered how long the Merrymen could keep to the ways and methods of their early days. The Sheriff was growing stronger and becoming better organized. He now had the money and the men and was beginning to harass the band, probing for its weaknesses. The tide of events was beginning to turn against the Merrymen. Robin felt the campaign must be decisively concluded before the Sheriff had a chance to deliver a mortal blow. "But how," he wondered, "could this be done?"
Robin had often entertained the possibility of killing the Sheriff, but the chances for this seemed increasingly remote. Besides, killing the Sheriff might satisfy his personal thirst for revenge, but it would not improve the situation. Robin had hoped that the perpetual state of unrest, and the Sheriffs failure to collect taxes, would lead to his removal from office. Instead, the Sheriff used his political connections to obtain reinforcement. He had powerful friends at court and was well regarded by the regent, Prince John.
Prince John was vicious and volatile. He was consumed by his unpopularity among the people, who wanted the imprisoned King Richard back. He also lived in constant fear of the barons, who had first given him the regency but were now beginning to dispute his claim to the throne. Several of these barons had set out to collect the ransom that would release King Richard the Lionhearted from his jail in Austria. Robin was invited to join the conspiracy in return for future amnesty It was a dangerous proposition. Provincial banditry was one thing, court intrigue another. Prince John had spies everywhere, and he was known for his vindictiveness. If the conspirators' plan failed, the pursuit would be relentless and retributions swift.
The sound of the supper horn startled Robin from his thoughts. There was the smell of roasting venison in the air. Nothing was resolved or settled. Robin headed for camp promising himself that he would give these problems his utmost attention after tomorrow's raid.
--------------
Here is how I would like the outline of the paper to be written:
1) Introduction ? review the key issues
a. How to better organize his organization and who has what responsibilities
b. Generate more revenue, control costs, inventory of supplies
c. Should he join Price John in the conspiracy, kill the sheriff, or pay the ransom? Downsize the organization and go into a smaller area
2) How to better organize his organization and who has what responsibilities, gain control of organization
a. Develop clear leaders and captains of teams. Smaller teams, people working to full capacity.
b. Review and organize the role of the lieutenants
c. Create a more intense process for those wanting to join, so that you weed out the weak and only keep the hardcore.
d. Set up controls and discipline so that loyalty is tested.
e. Keep training and improving skills
3) How to generate revenue and control the inventory of goods and supplies
a. Start rationing supplies in the forest
b. With loyalty tested and more intense process, should be less people so more goods.
c. Develop a huge campaign that creates awareness to the need of financing and getting the king back, and then impose the fix transit tax. Stress the benefits compared to the outfight confiscation of goods.
d. Split the organization into two groups ? and move to two different forests that will be able to handle the needs of the two groups.
4) Should he join Price John in the conspiracy, kill the sherrif, or pay the ransom?
a. Why he shouldn?t join Prince John.
b. Why he shouldn?t just pay the ransom
c. Why he set up a plan to kill the Sherrif, and if that fails, retreat to a new forest and set up new operations.
Here's my first page that I wrote for my introduction. Please use this
The Robin Hood case study, by Joseph Lampel, is a very complex tale of a leader whose organization is experiencing sudden distraught, miscommunication, and external attacks. Robin Hood is very similar to any modern day leader who is charged with the task of taking an organization through great leaps in order to reach and sustain success. While reading through the case study, a business oriented person can easily identify many complex issues that need evaluating and improvement.
In this study of the Robin Hood story, I will focus our attention on the three keys issues, and how I would apply management procedures, policies, and practices in order to create the biggest positive impact on the organization. The three areas of concern that I feel will have the biggest impact once improved are: 1) how to better organization the internal structure and gain control of the organization, 2) how to generate more revenue, keep expenses under control, and control the inventory of goods and supplies, and 3) what to do when faced with the decision to join another organization, destroy the competition, or retreat to another market.
Something we should consider when analyzing the Robin Hood case is whether or not Robin Hood will actually have the time, resources, and knowledge to carry out our plans. For the sake of argument, we will act as if Robin Hood has the opportunity to take a look at this organization and make these changes. As in the real business world, leaders must make quick decisions ? and sometimes these decisions have very big long term effects. We?ll also consider the ripple effect that each decision may cause, and we?ll act as if Robin Hood is able to spend the necessary amount of time needed to analyze the situation, make a decision, and successfully implement his decisions.
Write a 700-1050-word paper examining a new technology for communication (i.e., Electronic medical records, voice recognition, etc.) and how it is impacting communication in healthcare. Consider how efficient and effective communication is with this technology, advantages and disadvantages, impact on consumers, and financial impact on organizations both long and short term. Identify any technological improvements that could still be made in the future with this new technology and why. Make recommendations. Utilize a minimum of two research sources, with one from UOP Library and other from rEsource to support your claims.

Web Analytics software as well as sophisticated data aggregation models have allowed companies like E-Score and Blue Kai to aggregate information about consumers, often without their knowledge, to create customer profiles that are valuable and command a premium price among various third parties. Based on the information in the two articles please provide a detailed written response to the questions below. Please provide concrete examples to support your point of view.
-Do you feel your digital footprint is public or private property? Should companies like e-Bureau be allowed to create consumer profiles specifically rating your financial viability? Are there limits to how much consumer data can be acquired and should these standards be universal across all industries?
-From a consumer?s perspective how highly do you value personalized ads based on interest, location or current need? Is the fact that advertisers or businesses can recognize and serve you information based on your needs or interest more of a pro or a con?
--In the article ?Who Do Online Advertisers Think You Are? the author states, ?? a world of customized ads, news and politics is one where advertisers, publishers and politicians rank and differentiate us.
