There were limited and inconsistent evidence from randomized clinical trials, even though, other studies showed improvements in child weight outcomes with parental involvement. The literature reviewed lacked conclusive evidence. The research gaps identified were assessment of refined parenting phenotypes, cultural tailoring of interventions, family relationship examination, and new technology incorporation.
