The product mix at 3D systems is composed of both personal and production three dimensional (3D) printers and the related accessories and software. The company sells packages in which consumers can assemble their own 3D devices as well as fully assembled products. The most popular printer that is currently trying to penetrate further into the consumer market is the Cube. The device is plug and play capable and comes with everything to get you started printing quickly. The printer is even WiFi enabled so that it can communicate with different devices over the network. All models of the Cube lineup come complete with a starter kit of materials as well as free 3D models that customers can print right out of the box. There is also design software included so customers can design their own 3D objects to print in any one of the 18 different colors available.

The current Cube model can print in two different materials, ABS and PLA (3D Systems, N.d.). ABS is a composite material that is fully recyclable, while the PLA which is compostable and environmentally friendly. The standard Cube is a cube that is five and a half inches "cubed" however there is also a bigger model known as the CubeX which is 10.8" x 10.45" x 9.5." The CubeX also come in three different versions which include the standard CubeX, the CubeX Duo, and the CubeX Trio. The primary difference between the different CubeX models is the number of colors that the printer can print at one time. Both the standard Cube and the CubeX can only print one color while the Duo model can print two and the Trio model three in the same print. The standard Cube retails for under $1,300, the CubeX for $2,499, the CubeX Duo for $2,999, and the CubeX Trio for $3,999 (3D Systems, N.d.).
