Acquire the Vacant Sol Dealership

Last reviewed: October 19, 2009 ~2 min read

¶ … acquire the vacant Sol dealership for a number of reasons. The first is that I have an entrepreneurial spirit. I desire to by my own boss. I feel the franchise method of business ownership is the best for me. A partnership with Sol/Shell will allow me to focus on the finer points of the business, including managing a staff, improving efficiency and making the most of our competitive advantages. I am a leader at heart; I am comfortable working for others but I need the structure of a franchise arrangement to be able to be my best.

The second reason is that I am a salesman at heart. As such, I have the ability to transform a simple gas station into a profit-producing entity. I understand the needs of both the locals and the tourists. This will allow me to develop new business opportunities such as adding a store and restaurant. There are a multitude of opportunities to capture traffic on the road, and as a salesman I will tap into the needs of the passersby and compel them to stop at the station.

The third reason is that I can bring professionalism to the role of franchisee. Sol/Shell demands that their franchisees operate their stations to the highest standards in order to maintain the integrity of the brand name. I am a dogmatic manager, leaving no stone unturned. I will maintain the high standards expected of the station and fulfill all of the requirements of the franchisee agreement. In doing so, I will enhance the financial performance of Sol by bringing revenues back to the station and controlling costs.
