Importance

The lack of advance work done in the 1963 assassination of president John F. Kennedy is an empirical example of how the lack of advance work is destructive. Advance work failed at the highest levels and as a result the greatest failure in protective services was witnessed on that day. This skill must be done when time and circumstances are not optimal. Due to these time constraints the ability for protective agents must be highly detailed and thorough in their efforts to provide a safe and secure environment for the ones they are protecting.
