Shooting Directions for Movie
Airplane Scene One:
The interior of a jet aircraft of sufficient size to have paired window seats and overhead storage. It is daytime outside the windows, and the airport is visible. The music is almost inaudible elevator music, but changes to a romantic instrumental as the action progresses. The overhead lighting and ordinary seat lighting is on, but not the reading lights. Passengers are finding their seats, and Laura is having trouble storing her carry-on in the overhead bin. Joseph approaches from the foreground as the camera dollies in. The camera stops as Joseph reaches Laura and set down his own carry-on and helps her with hers. Figures are three quarters and we see Joseph's back as Laura turns and smiles. The camera dollies slightly closer so we see her slight blush and the sparkle in her eyes, which signify attraction. They are quite close as she surrenders the bag to him. And he hesitates very slightly before stowing it to look at her as the camera closes in on a shoulder shot from behind Joseph. We can see Laura's face as he hesitates and then stow her bag. He lets her take her seat before he stow his own bag and closes the compartment as the camera backs slowly away.
Fade to realistic shot of Laura and Joseph seated.
As they begin to talk we can see the clouds out the window, indicating that the plane is now in the air. As they talk the camera angle changes to frontal shoulder pair shot, eliminating the seats in front. Their trays are down, but wee actually see little of them, and the cloudscape out the window is equalized in brightness to the interior light, so that the lighting on the couple is only slightly less, eliminating the contrast which would actually be there, and making the faces show in warm and slightly romantic interior light. As they speak, the camera will alternate among full frontal couple head shots, full frontal shoulder couple shoulder shots, full frontal close-up individual head shots and three-quarter to full profile couple head or shoulder shots.
The end of the scene shows them debarking in clear morning light at a very scenic airport in the Alps, with huge full color panorama of the snow-capped mountains in warm daylight. There is no snow on the tarmac, but we can see snow on the ground where the planes do not go. We see a full scenery panorama with the plane on the ground, could be a different and smaller plane than the first, as they may have switched planes in Paris. This airport does not have the capacity for the larger aircraft. The plane can be already stopped and the baggage handler carts are approaching as passengers debark. The camera dollies in as we see the couple leave the plane, and Joseph is carrying both bags.
