Tradeshows within this sector are especially effective because of the open competitive format of the industry.
Overall I believe that the industry most attractive for tradeshows is the homebuilder industry. This is because there is a diversity of clients which means that their needs are all different. The competition level within this industry is also significantly higher because there is less regulation and more companies all striving to gain business. Therefore, all of these factors mean that the strength of tradeshows, diversity of products on demonstration and display, plays into what this particular industry wants. The least attractive to tradeshows is the food industry because of the heavy amount of regulative forces upon it, means that diversity and competition is often missing. Which means that there is a heavy reliance on branding and trust, which is not the focus of the majority of tradeshows?
