This is to ensure that the nurses are able to provide comprehensive information regarding the impact of workplace stress.
3. Data Collection Method
Grounded theory offers an inductive method with the main purpose of providing a concept that has the potential to elucidate or construe and understand a phenomenon. The data will be collected through individual, semi-structured interviews with the nurses. The main reason for selecting this particular approach is to be able to capture the variety and assortment of experiences of the different nurses for at least the past one year in their workplace to understand the various stresses faced and how they have influenced their performance and workplace caring behavior. In addition, through such individual interviews, it will be possible to seize the vivid and rich memories of their stresses and therefore give detailed information regarding their experiences (Quinn, 2013).
