While many students lament the challenges of occasional sluggish processing times and non-intuitive interfaces, far too many may realize just how fortunate they are to enjoy the wide array of benefits that computers bring to the nursing education table. Indeed, understanding the basic tools and features of using a computer is not longer a luxury but is rather the foundation of modern life. Although I have a lifetime of basic experience using computers with a corresponding fundamental knowledge of these resources, I have come to more fully appreciate the critical importance of understanding these tools and features in todays healthcare education and professional environments (Affum, 2021).
