Behavior

Being in love can have a series of benefits on the person, as it assists people in growing and improving their abilities in several ways. Numerous individuals are probable to acknowledge that they felt that they were in a somewhat uplifted state of mind at the time when they felt love. By allowing people to include their lovers into their lives, persons express their need for self-expansion. This can be associated with a type of motivation, a concept that fuels people to do everything in their power to go through experiences that increase their self-esteem and that generally make it possible for them to feel they play an important role in life in general.

Love is generally perceived as a positive concept in people's lives, taking into account that individuals associate it with happiness. However, it can also have a negative influence on the individual as well as on his or her partner. "Some researchers have observed that a bad love relationship can actually restrict and confine the self, and breaking up under these circumstances should lead to a rediscovery of the self and new opportunities for growth via self-expansion." (Lopez, 2008, p. 36)

Aggression is often misunderstood because individuals generally consider it to negatively influence people's behavior. However, aggression has proved to have a positive effect on people's thinking in particular cases. The comfort zone is currently making life difficult for millions and even billions of individuals. Many persons who took on aggressive attitudes in an attempt to get out of their comfort zones have eventually succeeded in their endeavor.

Even with the fact that it can sometimes help a person recover from a problematic situation, aggression can also be extremely harmful. A person who is aggressive can experience short-term success as a result of taking matters into his or her own hands. However, aggressiveness is typically perceived as a negative concept, taking into account that it makes people act on impulse.

Sympathy is surely commendable, especially considering that people today are taught to ignore others around them with the purpose of looking out for themselves. However, feeling compassion toward others can seriously harm someone. Many individuals have trouble understanding their limits and give everything they have in order to help others. While such behavior is admirable, it is very often that these people have a limited understanding of how they can help and actually end up hurting both themselves and the persons they want to help.

Feeling sympathy can make a person better, as he or she is enabled to look at life from a more general perspective. The simple feeling that there are other people who could use one's help and actually going through with helping them can have a particularly positive effect on an individual.

From my perspective (and though this might sound cliched), love is the most important out of these feelings, as it is much more complex than a simple feeling and as it can lead to a person experiencing a series of other emotions.
