They logically want to use processes that will make them spend less immediately or eventually and at less effort (Gregory, 2015). The first step taken by most businesses today is the use of technology. Experience proves that businesses save on costs and improve business operations in ways unknown in the past.

Technology enables them to conduct conferences, sales, payments and other functions through information technology. By using many and increasing software applications, businesses not only reduce operational and supply costs but also raise their level of dependability (Gregory). Consumers wanted to do away with wires of the desktop, which motivated PC vendors to come up with an entirely new set of applications. At present, the third group of wireless technology consisted of distributed devices like cellular phones and measurement systems, which are convenient to those who move around. These applications reduce costs of installation and system, simplify deployments, and, most importantly, have made possible function and performance in a way that was not even imaginable in the past (NI).

Wireless technology is especially beneficial to industries, which will otherwise incur high installation costs, in their operations (NI, 2015). Remote monitoring, structural health monitoring, and asset protection can gain reduced cost benefits if software investments are equal; if costs exclude line, solar or battery power; or if implementations of the business' networking infrastructure cost the same, whether wired or wireless (NI). Health information technology or health IT can raise the efficiency level of the health sector by helping providers work on information more effectively (CBO, 2015). The result is an improvement in the quality of health care and, eventually, the health of patients itself. Health IT consists of computer applications in medical practice. They include computerized entry systems for ordering tests or prescribing medicines and medications by physicians; support systems needed in rendering clinical decisions; and preparing electronic medical prescriptions.

The most important and primary health IT package secured by a provider is the electronic health record or EHR. If used efficiently, it enables providers to extend better health care.

Electronic health records make medical transcriptions unnecessary while allowing the physician to enter notes or any information on the patient's condition into a computerized record; remove or almost entirely remove the need to extract medical charts from patients' office files during consultation; through computerized EHRs, providers can input cheaper-costing generic medicines in place of expensive branded drugs; and it prevents the duplication of diagnostic tests.

Health IT also serves to remind physicians about the value of preventive care; indicates adverse drug interactions or reactions to prescribed medicines; and assist physicians in managing patients with serious or complex chronic conditions better (CBO). From Paperwork to Patients The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or CMS and the Department of Health and Human Services or DHH have jointly been encouraging doctors to use EHRs through the Centers' EHR Incentive Program (Blum, 2011). The Program also helps improve communication lines among providers about patient care.

EHRs facilitate the assessment of a patient's medical status for physicians, hospitals and other stakeholders. These records help in the provision of appropriate care, prevent redundant paperwork by physicians, and insure that tests and medications are correct or accurate. The Department emphasized that the use of technology does away with inefficient processes performed manually. The most recent estimate was a savings of $12 billion in the next 10 years to providers and health plans. And the most important benefit is the freeing of providers' time and using it instead with patients.

Results of a published April 2010 study revealed that the simplification o administrative systems could save four precious hours of professional consultation and five hours of support staff work every week. It will mean fewer necessary phone calls between physicians and health plan providers, reduced postage and paperwork costs, and reduced number of denied claims. The use of EHR clearly means reduced red tape and more time for physicians for patients. In the overall, it can put resources to optimum use and redound to providing better quality patient care (Blum).
