Biblical Passage While replete with theological demands for life and moral requisites, very few passages in the Bible allow for open analysis of Jesus' own position in ethical politics. While the gospels proffer more opportunities for development, Matthew 3:38-45 is the crux of these keyholes into the structure of the Christ. Extolling followers to be like the flawless Christ, this lesson in enemies and love is the foundation of the Christian

Bergant (2000), Boyon (2002), Fitzmyer (1981) and Johnson (1991) all offer commentary, analysis, and correspondences for Luke 4:14-30. Boyon (2002) calls this section an “apocalyptic turning point,” a critical moment in which Jesus not only recognizes himself as the fulfillment of a prophesy but communicates that awareness to a Jewish congregation during the Sabbath service in a synagogue in Nazareth. All four of these commentaries present similar context and literary

Likewise, other passages create more problems than they solve from a modern perspective: "Why did Rachel remove the teraphim, the sacred images, when she left her father's house? Why Rachel and not Leah, the eldest? Teubal, though, points out that if these events are viewed in terms of the fundamental humanity of the individuals involved, their actions and motives becomes more clear to modern observers. In fact, sexual moral obligations were one of the major concerns addressed by Jude, who cautioned that immoral behavior by teachers was dangerous. He believed that it had the ability to corrupt everyday Christians, and to keep them from attaining salvation. Therefore, he wrote Jude as a way of warning Christians against these false prophets, and against a life of immoral behavior. Perhaps more significantly, Jude contains a very strong

When treatment for schizophrenia or other mental illness does not follow proper protocols, the results can be extreme deviant behaviors, often resulting in violent crimes. Because of the deinstutionlization of the mentally ill, the criminal justice system now increasingly has become the destination of mentally ill and developmentally disabled individuals, especially those who are ethnic minorities (Kupers, 1999). Often, the choice for the justice system is to either treat the

Furthermore, when groups began people naturally turned to the group leader for direction and advice. It would be accurate to state that most of the relating was to the group leader at that point. However, by exercising linking behavior, I was able to get the group members to look to each other for understanding and help. Initially, I had to point out when people were saying things that would indicate
