Brinkman Grills Analysis The Brinkman Corporation is among the leading organizations involved in the manufacture of outdoor cookers, outdoor lighting, smokers, lawn, handheld lighting, and garden products. It also engages in the manufacture of pet products, boat covers, camping equipment, and Remington hunting and fishing gear. The name of the company provides it with the desired position in the market. For instance, the name is symbolic and represents quality provision of products, selection, innovation, styling, reliability, and performance. Although Brinkman Company began in the past thirty years, it has grown to achieve its desired performance abilities alongside the competitiveness in the global market. Above all, the company strives to achieve the provision of products that meet consumer needs, thereby, realizing its operational objectives (Company, n.d.).

The Extended Enterprise Supply Chain (EESC) of the company comprises of different of various stakeholders, resources, and collaboration that ensures the provision of the desired products to the consumers. In specific, the EESC consists of the raw products, material fabrications, component producers, the main producer, and consumers using the organizational products. The running of organizational activities appreciates different factors like environmental sustainability, compliance with the stated legal and environmental requirements, and green management that focuses on technology development and improvement for enhanced performance and productivity. As shown in the following diagram, integration of different organizational activities ensures the provision of the desired products meeting consumer needs and the realization of the strategic objectives of the corporation (Wright, 2009).

Road and rail form the major mode of transport used by the corporation to reach its consumers in the different markets. It does not use air in most of its activities as it is expensive to the organization and hinders the realization of its operational efficiencies. In addition, it uses water as a means of transport to replace air when reaching consumers in the distant markets (Vitols, 2011).
Environmental issues

It is beyond doubt that the company faces significant environmental issues as it engages in the manufacturing of different products to its consumers. The fact that it converts raw materials into finished products translates to the effects of its operations on the environment. Significant evidence has that the manufacturing nature of the company increases the risk of environmental pollution that has negative effects on the surrounding communities. Combustion of fuels in the company releases carbon products into the atmosphere that causes air pollution. Air pollution affects the health of the inhabitants of the surrounding environment by causing respiratory related conditions and bringing about the greenhouse effect. Similarly, the release of organizational wastes to the waterways and water bodies increase the need for the consideration of its influence on the environment. Realizing the wastes to the water bodies result in the reduction of quality of water for human consumption and life of the aquatic animals (Siedel & Haapio, 2011).

The increasing demand for energy at the company also raises a significant environmental issue. Environmental specialists recognize that the heavy use of energy giving products in the company contributes to the increasing effect of the greenhouse gases that affect the health of the society alongside its sustainability.
