Christmas Cheer Christmas is my favorite holiday because it allows people to be kind to one another, it brings people together, and it gives me the opportunity to decorate. I love this time of year because all of these elements occur at the same time and that makes it special for me. I take pictures, tell stories, and try to make that time of year memorable for everyone I know because it is so special to me.

Giving, loving, and cheer are what Christmas is all about and that is why I love it. One reason Christmas is my favorite time of year is the fact that it allows people to be kind to each other. I love the mood that everyone gets into when Christmas is near.

We might hear of the mad last-minute shoppers and stress associated with the season but, overall, Christmas is a time where we can think about those that are dear to us and also think of presenting them with something that will make them smile. I always enjoy this time of year where I work because even though my office always begins celebrating the spirit of Christmas a month early. Last year, we pooled money together and bough presents for children at a local homeless shelter.

It was a great time for them and for us. When it seems as though the world it is filled with people that do not care, Christmas always seems to bring out the kindness in humanity. A also love Christmas because it brings family members together. We live in a world that is busy and sometimes we become so overwhelmed with life that we neglect those that mean the most to us.

While we may have contact with out immediate family, we might lose contact with our other family members throughout the year. Christmas is a time that brings us together and while there are many movies and books that depict crazy times when families do get together, I love being around my family. Yes, we have our quirks, but being together with family is something that cannot be matched by anything. A few years ago, all of my family was able to get together for the holiday.

That included all of my aunts and uncles and their children as well. It was great seeing everyone and hearing about what was going on with them. Christmas would not be nearly as special to me if I did not have the opportunity to share it with the people I love. Finally, I love Christmas because it allows me to decorate and spread Christmas cheer. Decorating the house and the yard is refreshing to me because I get to move things around and have a little bit of fun.
