What type of terrorist is von Brunn?

There are several types of terrorism. The first is state terrorism. This is where the terrorist conducts the act against a foreign state or the people of a foreign state. State terrorism can also be of a political nature if the politicians decide to change the status quo of the state or if they commit acts in public which spread fear among ordinary civilians. The second type is bioterrorism where the terrorists use agents of a biological nature to terrorize and harm innocent victims. Some of these agents include Anthrax, Botulism, plague, small pox or hemorrhagic fevers such as Marburg virus or Ebola virus. Another type of terrorism is cyber-terrorism where the terrorists attack civilians using various forms of technology such as computers or telecommunication devices such as mobile phones. Eco-terrorism is also another type of terrorism where violence is committed to the environment such as sabotage of property so as to cause damage to various industries, companies or the general environment. Nuclear terrorism is where the terrorists use nuclear devices or weapons to disseminate material which is radioactive in nature which cause harm to civilians. The last form of terrorism is narco-terrorism which is where the drug traffickers use violence to stop efforts of the government to stop the trade of drugs Goodwin, 2006()

The act that Von Brunn conducted was one of state terrorism since he had views that the white race was more superior to all others and was against the Semites. Von Brunn was quoted saying "The Holocaust is a lie. Obama was created by Jews. Obama does what his Jew owners tell him to do. Jews captured America's money. Jews control the mass media" Emery & Robbins, 2009.

Since his act was intended to change the status quo of the state to make other people in the state to become anti-Semites and also to have views of white-supremacy, Von Brunn is therefore a state terrorist.

The MTC:R3 is also known as the rapist taxonomy. It classifies rapists into 9 classes from Type 1 through to Type 9 and it is taxonomical in nature. It starts with 2 broad branches -- Psychopathic rapists and Non-psychopathic rapists. In this category, Homolka can be classified to be a Psychopathic rapist. The next classification under psychopathic rapists divides them into opportunistic, pervasively angry and sadistic rapists. Here, the behavior of Homolka can be thought to be sadistic in nature. Under sadistic, there are 2 categories of rapists who are the overt and the muted rapists. Here, Homolka is classified as a muted rapist since her actions were not well pronounced and they were hidden and secret. The acts of rape only came to be known when they came clean to their uncle under the fear that their separation would lead to the rapes being discovered. Therefore according to the MTC:R3, Homolka can be thought to be a type 5 rapist.
