Biomedicine involves various facets. To be a successful practitioner in this filed one needs to know not only the distinctions between each but also possess a basic knowledge of the principles of each. The three categories of biomedical decision making re the following:
The clinical field-
This involves the practical aspects of the field where the practitioner is actually involved in the business of biomedicine in a doctor / nurse -- patient capacity. Clinical work ranges from practitioners who engage themselves in understanding and working with molecular interactions to the study of the consequences of these molecular interactions at the in vivo level. Clinical practicum integrates biology and medicine and uses this research by devising new strategies for diagnosis and therapy . Practicum in biomedicine spans many careers which include working as immunologist, dental assistant, endocrinologist, medical doctor, physiologist, or nurse. They are all clinical and lab-focused.
Some clinical professions in this field integrate both research and lab and they include vocations such as research and lab work includes clinical laboratory technologist and technician, biomedical scientist and epidemiologist.

2. Ethical
This involves moral dilemmas that may infiltrate my field and that may force me to evaluate my choices and decide how to act. Biomedicine is one of these fields that challenge our ethics the greatest. Georgetown University describes the implications of this field in the following way:
From borrowed wombs and biopiracy, to organ harvesting, medical tourism, and generating new body parts, to stem cells, Viagra, imaging technologies, and life support, our lives are increasingly understood and lived as biomedical concerns.
Conundrums are presented in terms or race and age; in terms of age; in terms of privilege and lack thereof; between scientific and other treatments of the body; and, most of all, between issues of control and regulating this control. There are numerous other factors, and the ethics of biomedicine continues to be one of the most controversial and debated topics of this day.
Decision-making in this context would be structured to debating how to act within any one of a given set of biomedical circumstances.
