The different goals were concentrating on improving leadership development and organizational planning. What was accomplished was we learned the best techniques and strategies in achieving these objectives. The challenges that were faced are understanding how and when to apply these areas in a real world setting. The problem solving techniques are concentrating on improving communication and collaboration.

(Jones, 2007) (Kelly, 2013) The biggest barriers to meeting the learning outcomes were the inability to adjust. In the next month, we will regularly apply these areas in our practice. This has transformed our attitudes by taking all encompassing approach. As a leader or manager, areas for improvement need to concentrate on having greater amounts of flexibility and openness. In the process, we learned that these goals must be realistic. Yet, challenging enough to push someone and the organization to continually innovate.

If this does not happen, any kind of transformations will be limited in scope. (Jones, 2007) (Kelly, 2013) Identify any challenges that you faced in attempting to achieve your goals and document this in the form. Describe the challenges in detail, including who or what made this challenging. Was there anything you were not able to discover? The biggest challenges that were faced were resistance to new ideas. This is because most people were comfortable with the status quo and wanted to keep things as they were.

Those who created to these challenges were existing health care professionals with years of experience. This is because they had established procedures in place for helping everyone to deal with a host of issues. When someone comes in with new ideas and wants them to change, most people become very hesitant. As they feel that this is another attempt, to shift attitudes for the benefit of the administration over other stakeholders. (Jones, 2007) (Kelly, 2013) Explain the problem-solving techniques you used to overcome any actual or potential problems and challenges.

The basic techniques that were used to deal with challenges related to SMART goals 1 and 2 are to concentrate on improving collaboration. This was achieved through establishing different alliances with employees and managers. The basic idea is to use them to identify the problems and create solutions for addressing them. (Jones, 2007) (Kelly, 2013) Moreover, communication must be strong between various groups of individuals. This is because they will have their own attitudes and beliefs about the best way to deliver health care solutions.

The insight they can provide and their inclusion in the process, will allow them to feel as if they are making a difference. (Jones, 2007) (Kelly, 2013) This is when they will become a supporter of these changes and will deal with them on the team level. What they will do; is to talk to others who are resistant about these transformations and why they are taking these attitudes. It is at this point, when these issues can be brought to forefront and critical challenges are addressed.

(Jones, 2007) (Kelly, 2013) In the future, these shifts will become the standardized operating procedures with more people openly embracing them and complying with these guidelines. The result is that the combination of these problem solving techniques will deal with challenges while they are small. This is the key for ensuring that any kind of strategies is effective in supporting the SMART goals and creating positive impacts for variety of stakeholders.

(Jones, 2007) (Kelly, 2013) Describe what change you will make in your behavior as a leader in the next month based on your experiences so far. How has the learning changed your behavior or attitude? If you were the leader/manager, what could you have done better? The biggest changes that I will make are to have greater amounts of flexibility when implementing the SMART goals. This is because I expect these changes to occur rapidly. The problem is that these shifts do not take place when I want them to.

Instead, they will happen once the staff members and administrators see the benefits of implementing them inside the organization. To achieve these objectives, flexibility will enable me to understand the position of each group and the impact it.
