Vivienne Westwood is a British fashion designer specializing in designing different categories of men and women clothing that include Coat, Jacket, Knitwear, Shirt, Skirt, Suits and other type of textile collections. The Vivienne uses a designing architecture to design different types of dressing using the dimensional materials. On the other hand, Van Noten is a modern and fashionable Belgian designer specializing in designing varieties of men and women fashion clothing.
Objective of this paper is to analyze the picture of the produced by the Vivienne Westwood and Dries van Noten in term of textiles.
Difference and Similarities between the Picture 1 and Picture
The Picture 1 is the Vivienne Westwood wool and cotton crafted women jacket finely tailored in a rich red tartan. The jacket is carefully constructed with balance cotton and wool. On the other hand, the Picture 2 is a Drier Va Noten Madras men short sleeve made with silk fabric material. The shirt is multicolor designed with high quality materials and the material of the shirt is 100% silk. The difference between the Picture 1 and Picture 2 is that the Picture 1 is a long-sleeve women jacket while the Picture 2 is a short sleeve silk shirt. Moreover, the materials used to design the Vivienne Wood jacket are cotton and wool. However, the fabric of the Drier Va Noten is100% silk. Another difference between the two pictures is the color. The Picture 1 composes of 95% of red color with small stripe yellow color. The picture 1 also has a black color at the top and some blue stripes...
Unlike the Picture 1, which its color is 95% red, however, the picture 2 composes of equal percentages of mixtures of yellow and red color.
Picture 2: Drier Va Noten
Another difference between the two pictures is that the Picture 2 is a summer and outdoor cloth, however, the Picture 1 is more appropriate in winter because of its cotton and woolen materials that are able to conserve heat. Moreover, the Vivienne Westwood is a unisex dress that can only be worn by women and is not appropriate for men. However, the Van Noten cloth is more appropriate for men. Fundamental difference between the two pictures is that the Picture 1 can be worn to attend birthday party and other types of high class ceremonies. However, the Drier Va Noten picture is a casual dress, only appropriate for outdoor outing and not appropriate for the birthday party and other types of high profile parties.
The price is another difference between the two types of dresses. There is a big difference between the prices of the two dresses. The price of the Picture 1 is $828 while the price of the Picture 2 is $172. Despite the differences between the two types of differences, both dresses are multicolor. Another similarity is that red color is one of the major colors of the two dresses.
