Menage a Trois Brought Together

Last reviewed: May 18, 2011 ~3 min read

Menage a Trois brought together three outstanding groups: The Los Angeles Doctor's Symphony Orchestra, the Hollywood Master Chorale and The Ebell Chorale. The program included music by Mozart, Berlioz, Beethoven, Brahms and Faure. There were over 100 musicians that together to make it a memorable event. The proceeds from this concert will be dedicated to The Ebell Chorale.

I looked at the program to find the names of the songs that would be played as well as what kind of orchestra would be performing them. I found that this concert featured a symphony orchestra. This meant that it had woodwinds, strings, brass and percussion all together in one group. I am a casual listener and like very much to hear the music and to see how it makes me feel. I do not pay as much attention to the individual parts but more appreciate the overall feeling it provides me with.

The program had the following pieces that were performed, including:

Overture to the Magic Flute by Mozart; La Mort D'Ophelie, Berlioz-Choir; Vier Gesange, Op. 17, Brahms-choir; Pavane in F-Sharp Minor, Op. 50; Faure - Choir Fantasy in C-Minor For Piano; and Chorus and Orchesta by Beethoven.
