Constitution

Although the United States is a country that prides itself on its Constitution and the freedom and democracy within its borders, it is also true that many of the country's leaders and leadership entities do not adhere to the requirements and mandates of the Constitution. These violations also often occur to the detriment not only of the general consent of the Constitution, but also in practical terms to the rights of everyday citizens. The points mentioned in this document demonstrate some of the areas in which the Constitution has been violated or ignored by the country's leadership.

The 16th Amendment has never been ratified according to proper processes; yet it continues to be enforced with great vigor (Rosner, 2011).

Many citizens are denied due process, which includes the right to submit evidence to prove one's innocence.

The management of the monetary system is delegated to a private banking cartel (Rosner, 2011). This is in violation of the Constitution.

The Federal Reserve System was never authorized by the Constitution, but has existed since 1913.

Congress authorizes the Federal Reserve to issue paper currency at an apparently unrestricted rate, although this is not authorized by the Constitution.

In electing the latest president, the natural born citizen requirement seems to have been ignored. Hence, national security and defense are placed in the hands of a person with unknown credentials and unknown national loyalties.

There is no provision in the Constitution that allows Congress to mandate issues like health care. Yet this continues to be managed at the expense of the tax payer.

Some members of congress use the interstate commerce clause as a means to regulate human behavior.

Government corruption is encouraged by unrestrained financial contributions by lobbying groups.

Members of Congress continue to force legislation that has proven to be fraudulent, such as the Cap and Trade legislation.

An inspector general was improperly fired, which violated a law he co-authored.

Members of Congress and other leaders show a tendency to ignore questions regarding these issues by the public.

Legislation such as the U.S. Patriot Act tends to ignore certain provisions by the Constitution. By signing it into law, the president and lawmakers are therefore in violation of the Constitution.

Amendment IV, for example, state the right of citizens to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures. The Patriot Act, on the other hand, provides government with the power to search and seize without probable cause when any suspicion of terrorist occurs.
