The community is in fact obligated to care for those in need, especially at-risk youth who must channel their energies toward creative, social, and academic pursuits instead of criminality. I wholeheartedly believe social workers can improve community health and social welfare as well as improve the lives of individuals. At Spelman, I will gain the wisdom and skills I need to be a part of the social work community. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
