In conclusion, the researcher believes that the reason of the crash was because there was an issue with the design of the plane. The researcher supports his argument by using the investigation from the Dutch. The Dutch Safety Board investigation confirmed its initial results that a faulty altimeter played a very important position in the crash. The altimeter is what recorded the plane's altitude having it below sea level when it started its final decline from 2,000 feet (610 meters), which in sequence produced the plane's autopilot to decrease the control to an idle way too soon.

The plane was on a remarkably sharp method and should have been slowing down in the first place, which may be able to have functioned as a role in the pilots' original disappointment to figure out that they had lost more speed than they had, the report mentioned. "If the altimeter in the Boeing hadn't been out of order, the accident would not have occurred," Safety Board chief Pieter van Vollenhoven told reporters (Sterling, 2011). He criticized Boeing, making the point that the manufacturer was conscious of the fact that the altimeter malfunctions are typical, nevertheless until the disaster occurred it looked at them as a technical issue and not a safety danger.

In a later, Boeing made the point that they had "undertaken a range of actions" to stop such an accident happening (Sterling, 2011). Those also had to do with raising the correctness of the readings of the altimeter's; making its fault less likely to hurt other systems of flight, for instance the autopilot; and training flight crews to be attentive to breakdowns (Sterling, 2011).

The pilots, in the Dutch crash, failed to respond until the plane's yoke gave a "stick shake" which is basically a warning that something is not working right.

A couple of seconds later, the first mate, who had been the one flying the plane, got a grip of the nose and then pushed it all the way down and gave supreme hastening. This can be proven because a lot of the conversation that was going on was recorded on the cockpit recorder. However then the captain saw what was going on...

The captain was able to keep the plane's nose down nonetheless it once again lost some more gas. With about seven seconds later the plane crashed to the ground. It collided into a freshly plowed field, hitting the ground tail first and then the plane was seen breaking into three pieces. A lot of the travelers who survived mentioned that the pilot gunned the engines again at the last instant (Sterling, 2011). Others people that had survived mentioned that they did not even recognize the landing had even gone wrong until other passengers started opening the emergency exit doors.

As mention earlier, a faulty radio altimeter, which had malfunctioned, was the cause of the crash. Th investigators all come to the conclusion that it was basically in bad shape before the plane took off. It is obvious that had everything been checked out prior to take off, these people would still be alive today.
