The elements of the crime of burglary, according to common law, are the illicit breaking into and entering the dwelling of another in order to commit some sort of felony on the premises. The Nevada Revised Statutes 205.06 extends description of the victim's dwelling to any "house, room, apartment, tenement, shop, warehouse, store, mill, barn, stable, outhouse or other building, tent, vessel, vehicle, vehicle trailer, semitrailer or house trailer, airplane, glider, boat or railroad car," and extends the felony to "grand or petit larceny, assault or battery on any person or any felony, or to obtain money or property by false pretenses." 1. The type of offense includes property violations, environmental issues, health and safety corners and so forth. This is the generally accepted definition of white-collar crime in the U.S.
2. The type of offender -- Offenders of white collar crimes are, generally, distinguished by their socioeconomic statutes and white collar crimes differs from the more serious sorts due to a covert policy of social inequality. As Shover and Wright (2000) observe, the concept or definition of crime when described as a statute almost always refers to the conduct of the action in the abstract and never to the characteristics of the perpetrator. History has shown us that, time and again, more privileged offenders become excused of higher-level degrees of crime and are, instead, tagged with the lower-level descriptor of white-collar crime. The FBI's definition merges with this second definition in that the FBI agrees that most white-collar crimes are perpetrated by business and government professionals, and that these crimes can be severe in that they can devastate individuals, families, and organizations (Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
