The fact that I am eating proportionally more fats and saturated fats than I should be, while eating far fewer calories overall, suggests that I really need to start looking at better food choices. An increase in the number of calories I eat should be accomplished by including more vegetables and vitamin rich foods -- especially dark greens and whole, unprocessed grains that are rich in the B-complex vitamins -- while reducing or perhaps maintaining the levels of fat in my diet. As the good increases, the proportion of fat in my diet will drop automatically, resulting in a healthier me.
