Business Plan Organization Overview Our Day Care Center is a start up company that will provide the full time, part time as well as drop in care for children between 2-month and 8 years old. Our Day Care Center will have a tutoring program that will cater for high income bracket, and provide safe and secure services to take care of the children. Our mission is to offer a safe and secure environment for children at all times.

Company's Infrastructure and Information Systems Needs. The section provides the information systems needs that our Child Care Center will require. To ensure that children are in a secured environment, our Day Care Center personnel will consist of 25 staff and IT specialist who will be managing all our infrastructure and information systems needs.

Our infrastructure and IT system for our Day Care Center will consist of CCMS (Child Care Management System) which is online computer system that will record child attendance and enrollment information. (Appendix 1 provides the sample of our CCMS ). Our infrastructures will consist of both software and hardware that will have email, and online features and our IT infrastructures will be able to deliver the following features: Family Data, Family Accounting, Attendance Tracker, Agency Accounting, Employee Data, Payroll, Accounts Payable.

Our Day Care Center will require information systems that will be developed primarily for the billings of employees, children, parent or guardian. Typically, the information systems we need should be capable of registering and store data of a new child as well as updating information of all children. Using the Child ID tool, the system must be able to search the child first name, and last name. Moreover, the user should be able to add or delete new information from the system.

Additionally, the new system must be able to maintain employee information in a similar way. Our information system needs is that we should be able to add new employee records, update existing employee records as well deleting employees records. Moreover, we should be able to carry a search on Employee ID, First Name Last Name, or SIN (Social Insurance Number).

More importantly, the system should be able to narrow whether to search for full time employee or a substitute employee and the system should be able to process employee vacation request. The new system should be able to process workload of each teacher along the information about each classroom. The appendix 1 reveals the prototype of our information systems revealing the child's and parent information.

Store child photo as well as parent's photo or photo of a pickup person. Store address, email and phone numbers of child parent's or pickup person. Our organization excellence is tailored to the method that we will employ to manage our data and information. In our Day Care Center, we will employ an IT specialist who has appropriate skills and knowledge in data management. Our IT specialist should have knowledge of: Document management, Data sources and data collection, object-oriented database Data security, quality, and integrity.

Methods of collecting raw data and processing. The knowledge of our IT specialist's data management will assist our Day Care Center in effective managing our organization. The knowledge that our staff has accumulated will assist in effectively managing our organization. (John, 1999). Our Company's Use of the Internet Our company will require internet to process data to enhance effective communication system. The internet will be used to support our business purpose and to carry out all our business activities. Typically, we will need internet to communicate with parents and guardian.

Moreover, we will require internet to process data such as payment of children school fees as well as processing staff wages. Moreover, parents and guardians can log in and track the progress of their children online. We will also used the internet to collect payment from parents since our system will be designed to accept credit cards online and parents will be required to pay their children school fess with credit cards. The internet will also be used to perform communication among employees, and between employees and parents.

Moreover, our internet will be used to send and receive email with or without document attachments. We will also use our internet for navigation for business purpose using a HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol) browser tool. IT Planning and Analysis Processes Our Day Care Center will implement effective IT planning for the integrity of our information systems. Our IT specialist will be in charge of overall administration of our information systems, and the IT specialist will be in charge.
