The American Institute of Graphic Arts' (AIGA's) Design Business and Ethics guideline series delineates crucial professional and ethical challenges faced by professional designers and purchasers of graphic designs. The work explores chief designer concerns when it comes to remaining successful, and directly addresses individual rights protection. The AIGA's Design Business and Ethics covers norms every designer is required to abide by. The norms aim at guiding workplace conduct and decision-making as well as, successively, career goals. In other words, the ethics and norms define designers' career objectives.

Hence, for achieving success in this field, I need to follow those norms. Considering the fact that they are established ethical rules and industry standards, hardly any question ought to arise. I, personally, do not have any doubts at present. Industry-related design career trends Freelance designers are in progressively greater demand these days. They are required to assume heavy workloads, filling specialized service needs not available within firms. They are faced with enormous creativity barriers.

With the design field's growth and re-bouncing of the economy, a number of designers now have so much work on their hands that their creativity is getting compromised (The Creative Group). The article proved to be an extremely enlightening and resourceful one, highlighting 4 trends that unavoidably impact the careers of numerous in-house graphic designers. It has been composed following a survey of creative sector heads and almost six hundred members of the AIGA.

The article stimulated me to reorient by career plans and objectives, spurring me to immediately adopt this profession. Freelancing creates extraordinary experiences, particularly concerning handling actual paying customers. I need to know how to handle diverse customers' needs and demands, multitask, protect myself, etc. Huge creativity obstacles have been highlighted as a career trends in this article. But the author fails to offer solutions to this problem. Furthermore, it is an erroneous generalization that graphics designers encounter clients not amenable to novel ideas.

Most customers possess limited information regarding graphic design. Thus, despite knowing precisely what it is they need, they seek ideas with regard to how to achieve their desired design from graphic designers. Industry-related ideas, predictions, and hot topics Design and Business - Business has been taking over design just the way it took over marketing. Careers -- With more new designers, there appears to be a change in how designers perceive their own abilities and work (Aszman). The article predicts where the design sector will be in 2016.

These predictions have, for the most part, been relevant in impacting the design sector and will continue to influence it in the following year as well. Hence, they have relevance and substantial significant for the design sector. The predictions suggest the importance of updating one's personal skills in view of trending and emergent skills, despite their swift change every now and again. Currently, the article has provided me with motivation to enroll in any business management program capable of improving my industrial competitiveness.

According to the article, print would be a 2016 design trend. Although this holds true, the author is referring to traditional print here, which I feel is questionable, since 3D printing is the trending, emergent printing practice. The business of design and contemporary design practice emerging designers should be informed of Theory and Practice -- The actual world vastly differs from design school. After all, design companies are enterprises (Decker Design, 4). Hence, it is imperative to cultivate good habits right from the start.

Breaking the wrong habits is tougher than acquiring new ones (Decker Design, 5; Bartow). This resourceful article offers valuable, precise, and succinct information to new designers, hence, is important. It will improve.
