Strategy for Moral Decision Making To Choose in accordance with conscience This section, of all the four sections stood out for me in the article since it deals with the daily application in the human approach to making choices. Centrally, this section tackles the role of the conscience in making the right or wrong choices taking into account the divine law and the reason behind that decision.

It also highlights the frequent difficulties that man often faces in making moral judgments, which in turn makes decision making, particularly with assurance of making the good or right decision being not so certain. It also makes it clear that discerning the will of God is not as obvious or easy as most may presume.

The section shows that the decision making process of man hence heavily relies on the experiences of self and others over the years, accompanied by the advice that one gets from people around them who may be competent and in a big part rely on the intervention of the Holy Spirit. Most importantly, this section outlines some rules that guide human existence and decision making process. For instance there is no way that one will act in evil manner and expect good to come out of it.

That each person needs to do to others that good act which they also expect to see or receive from others. The last principle outlined is on the aspect of not hurting the conscience of other as this is tantamount to sinning against Christ. Outlined herein is the importance of being keepers of each other and not casing one to stumble (Catechism of the Catholic Church, nd). Section B.

Thinking Ethically In decision making, there are various approaches that have been used and fronted over the years by behaviorists and philosophers in an attempt to come up with the best and most balanced means of making ethical decisions that balance the society and benefits all those involved in the decision and affected by the decision. Of the various approaches discussed in this article, the Common-Good approach stood out as the most applicable and suitable in making decisions that will benefit all in the society.

The approach dictates that the social policies, the systems, environmental laws and institutions among other daily aspects need to be beneficial to all members of the community. This can only be achieved if, at the time of formation of such policies, we view ourselves as members of the same society and that we will be subjects to the same laws that we will the formulating for the various institutions and establishments. This approach is most applicable to my view of how moral decisions should be made. On the other hand,.
