Other:
Is there consistency in their look and message?
There is a great consistency in the look and message of all Tory Burch social media sites.
Which one do they do best? Worst?
All of the Tory Burch social media sites are good. Pinterest is the best of all the Tory Burch social media outlets. None are bad, but perhaps the Twitter feed seems a little too off-topic at times.
Suggestions? If you were the Social Media Director what would you change and why?
If I were Social Media Director for Tory Burch, I would suggest making the Twitter feed more about the consumer including offering promotions.
2. Compare and contrast costume/fashion of the Rococo and Directoire and Empire periods. Discuss the social, political, economic climates as they affected and are reflected in dress. Discuss specific garments and styles as well as the overall/general look of each period.
The fashions of the, Directoire, and Empire periods evolved in the era of the Enlightenment, whereas the Rococo represents the final vestiges of imperial France prior to the Revolution. While there are a few similarities between rococo, Directoire, and Empire styles, rococo is generally more ornate, bourgeois, and courtly in its appearance vs. The Directoire and Empire styles, which have a more populist appeal. The differences between these different periods reflect the political and social climate and corresponding social norms. For example, rococo are cumbersome and complicated, with layers of undergarments in assemblies such as the roba a la francaise for women and the habit a la francaise for men. Crinolines, undercoats, and overcoats made for a "pompous" look that characterizes the rococo period in general ("Rococo," n.d.). Rococo period costumes are replete with lavish detail including embroidery, lace, and adornments such as hair pieces, wigs, and tricorne hats.
