Summary & Conclusion
The advantages of DR are stated to be: (1) no processing time and immediate image acquisition; (2) no imaging plates or cassettes to hassle with; and (3) excellent image quality. Disadvantages of DR include the fact that it is more expensive than CR imaging, mobile radiography necessitates a wire between computer and imaging system, the DR cannot perform corss table radiography if the imaging sensor is attached, the imaging sensor is more expensive to replace than an imaging plate, and the inability to retrofit to existing x-ray equipment. Even so, the advantages of DR outweigh the disadvantages which exist and most particularly so in a situation where immediate imaging is critical. (Ibid)

The Development of Portable Direct Digital Radiography Equipment
The conclusion according to Ludwig, et al. (2001) is that "the flat-panel detector has diagnostic performance superior to that of conventional screen-film storage-phosphor radiography for detecting shall artificial osseous lesions at clinical exposure settings. With the flat-panel detector, exposure may be reduced by a sum of 50% in order to gain satisfactory In the study entitled: "Performance of a Flat-Panel Detector in Detecting Artificial Bone Lesions: Comparison with Conventional Screen-Film
Pipeline welding is a highly specialized field within the welding industry, pivotal for the construction and maintenance of infrastructure that transports oil, gas, water, and other substances across vast distances. The process of pipeline welding demands precision and skilled execution to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the pipelines, which are often subject to high pressure and corrosive substances (Nippes & Smith, 2001). Welding pipelines typically involves the joining
