¶ … public education been used in the areas of focus to achieve health goals other than eradicating Malaria? If so, how successful have such attempts been?
I find it interesting that the World Health Organization suggested the use of DDT, a chemical that has proven harmful after research. This makes me wonder whether the WHO has suggested other potentially harmful "remedies" for health concerns without launching a thorough investigation into potential harms first.
In my view, it appears vitally important to first launch investigations into the potential harm of a chemical or remedy before applying it on a worldwide or countrywide scale, as the WHO appears to have suggested with DDT. Surely the research proves that such a strategy is irresponsible at best.
Second Response:
How would you go about reducing bias in investigating the leader-follower relationship in companies?
It is interesting that so little literature focuses on the follower role in the leader-follower relationships, since surely leaders need followers in order to perform their work in an optimal way. It appears, therefore, that the follower role is far more important than researchers might acknowledge.
In my own life as a scholar and learner, I have seen the importance of the follower role in teams to ensure that the work of the team is accomplished. Leadership means that a task cannot be accomplished on one's own. No isolated person is a leader by him- or herself.
Third Response:
Are there any other religious viewpoints that could be investigated besides the ones mentioned; i.e. besides using religion as a valuable resource for continuing health and support or regarding religion as a peripheral element of everyday living?
Religion appears to me to be a vastly divergent component of human living. Perhaps the study could also benefit from studying individually divergent views about religion, especially among the younger age groups. In my own experience, for example, younger generations tend to experiment with a number of things, including religion. One might investigate if the same is true of the populations for this study.
Fourth Response:
What specific starting point would one use to investigate the support systems (or lack thereof) for victims of domestic abuse in Cameroon?
What is interesting in this case is that there are divergent opinions on extreme opposites of the scale, where some authors claim that there is a complete lack of support while others claim that support is completely adequate. Perhaps one could investigate the reasons for the basic lack of balance in these opinions. Certainly no society is so completely lacking in care for its citizens that neither the police nor the court system offer any protection whatsoever. On the other hand, it is also important to identify flaws.
Fifth Response:
How many different viewpoints are there on African-American women deciding for or against reconstructive surgery after mastectomies?
