Apart from the physicians and specialists working in the doctor's clinic, there is always a registered nurse present who supervises outpatient service. This registered nurse is usually one person who is granted numerous powers because of her ample experience in the field. It is desirable that such a person has had his/her training at various well-known hospitals and is capable of managing outpatient service smoothly. The doctor's clinic might also employ the services of a trained anesthetist. It is important to know that not all doctor's clinics have full-time anesthetists working for them. In most cases, they are called as and when their services are required.

In some doctor's clinic, you may find some part-time staff working. This part-time staff includes physicians, nurses, anesthetists etc. People who want flexible working hours choose a doctor's clinic over a hospital setting but the salary offered may actually be lower in the former option.
While many doctor's clinics are professionally run, there may be some that are working on the principle of minting money. A professional doctor's clinic will definitely wear a professional look. It is usually well-staffed and all complaints are politely dealt it. Patients are treated with compassion and consideration and doctors are properly trained in their field. Do not be fooled by the acronyms after a doctor's name, they may not always stand for qualifications but may actually indicate some society's membership. It is therefore advisable to carefully check a doctor's clinic and its reputation with others around you before visiting the place yourself.
