On the same account, for employee work-related satisfaction and high morale, much emphasis has been placed on the significance of work assignment schedules or work assignment duration or WAD. Similarly, compressed work assignment schedules that compel and bound employees to work for long duration but fewer days a week has different merits and demerits. To well comprehend the significance of WAD in different industries as well as for the clarity of the reader, this research paper will basically review the literature pertaining to the advantages and disadvantages of compressed work assignment schedules thereby highlighting the difference between the kinds of WAD that different companies employ.
