Eai it Is Important to Understand Oneself

EAI It is important to understand oneself in order to better understand the world that exists around that person. The Ethical Awareness Inventory (EAI) revealed some useful trends and opinions about my personal ethical outlook on life. The purpose of this essay is to interpret these results and apply them to my personal and professional development. Include in this analysis is a statement on how my education has affected my ethical thinking.

Although the EAI is comprehensive in its attempts to understand the total ethical character of the test taker, some subjective and personal interpretation is necessary to successfully analyze this tool and reach a new level of learning. According to this inventory my ethical outlook is a very objective and utilitarian method of operation. The CORE value I scored highest in was Results, prompting this categorization. The lowest score I received was in E. For Equity.

I agree with most of this analysis as I do believe there is an objective good for a whole group of people but only when the results correspond to this idea. Results are indeed important to me and I need to see tangible evidence in order to formulate an ethical opinion that resonates with my greater being. The EAI was quite accurate in describing the conflictual nature of my ethical outlook.

I do in fact have conflict with others that rely on more intuitive ethical responses instead of the more practical and tangible aspects of the human experience. The EAI was quite accurate when it described my frustrations stemming from the inability to "measure far reaching impacts of ethical decisions as I focus on the immediate circumstances of the problem. I disagree with those who "put the cart in front of the horse," complicating and muddying the situation.

My educational experience has demonstrated to me that results do matter and the educational system appears quite aligned with my own ethical approach. Grades, class ranking and qualifications matter in the education system and without these things our system of institutionalizing our arts and sciences would seem empty and worthless. My education has taught me that results matter, and very little else comes into play.

No one knows what is truly experienced as an individual makes his way through his educational path, so we need something that can prove what this experience is really about. Conclusions The EAI was a useful experience because it helped me reinforce my ethical ideal principles. I did learn new ways and approaches to handle those who I may conflict with as I learned that even though I am opposed to.
