Module 5 discussion reflection on course concepts

¶ … constant inflow of new teachers means the inflow of new ideas and new ways of learning. The organization becomes stronger when strong teachers can be effectively recruited by school leadership and faculty. This course has highlighted this process and its importance in creating and fostering a transformative and learning-based environment. Recruiting new teachers is a team effort that requires a direct and planned approach that includes presenting the best aspects of the school to the targeted recruit. The knowledge gained through the practical application of evaluating and reforming a teacher recruitment model has raised significant awareness regarding the topic and can easily be applied in a real world situation where new teachers are in high demand. Remembering the overall objectives of the organization is important in recruiting efforts and new teachers should always reflect these ideals in their approach to education and learning.

Hiring a new teacher is a very important and serious event for those teaching at the school and the new teacher being invited to join the faculty. This event should not be taken lightly and hiring processes must align with many different types of standards. The legal aspects involved with hiring new teachers are especially important, and this courses application of these examples, have opened my eyes to new ways of approaching these challenging situations.

Utilizing guiding principles and ethics becomes the most important ideal in educational development and the involvement of new teachers. These ideals should reflect both a personal and professional approach to learning that is dedicated to selfless service, diversity and the ability to instill important ideas into the students of the school. Acting with integrity requires a submission to those ideals which sometimes requires the individual attempting to do what is more difficult and not as easy.

Teamwork and helping one another within the school environment can be a useful method of developing a stronger organization and tighter knit group. This course demonstrated to me that by having face-to-face communications with one another is very important in understanding one another. When teacher realize that we actually depend on one another for our own successes then we can become greater than what we currently are.
