¶ … employment or academic resume to report, I nevertheless appreciate the opportunity to tell you more about what I hope to accomplish while at NYU Stern and how I hope to contribute to the faculty and student body. My extracurricular interests and my core curricular interests will both reflect my passion for global business and the future of information systems. I appreciate the flexibility of the Stern MBA program, especially because I am used to being self-directed and independent in my academic and personal careers. In addition to the General Management curriculum I will like to specialize in Information Systems and am also considering meeting with academic advisors while at Stern to discuss whether or not a second area of specialization in either Finance or International Finance would be appropriate. My academic objectives parallel my career and personal goals, as I hope to work as a financial analyst or consultant for multinational firms. Therefore, I relish the prospect of meeting and hopefully working with Professors White, Kallberg, Roubini, and of course, Engle as I pursue the MBA at Stern. Dr. Engle's Nobel-prize winning ARCH statistical analysis system caught my attention while working in Taipei, years before I had considered applying to Stern. I hope to learn more about his sophisticated means of analysis and to improve my mathematical and analytical abilities. Because I am also keenly interested in emerging markets and high-risk sectors around the world, I would like to find international internship opportunities that would enable me to apply sophisticated statistical analyses. I will seriously consider applying for either a study abroad semester through the International Management Program or the shorter-term global business programs including "Doing Business In ... " depending on the demands of my work and school schedules. Because I have already developed ties and have cultural connections to East Asia I would definitely look into opportunities in countries in which I hope to work at least part-time after I graduate but at the...

Because I might end up working for a corporation with ties in Asia and Europe as well as the United States, I would like to pursue a study/work abroad program in regions of the globe I am as yet unfamiliar with, such as Northern Europe. I will also enjoy the opportunity to fuse my academic and career objectives with my personal background and language abilities.
In addition to learning more about financial analysis I also have a devoted interest in the business applications of information systems. With an already firm background in business information systems, I will contribute much to the program by sharing with classmates and professors my experiences working on independent study projects like the Johnson and Johnson study as well as my experiences working as executive secretary for the executive offices of multinational corporations. My talent for systems analysis has allowed me to actually help businesses cut costs and maximize profits, and I have shared my talents not only in paying sectors but as a volunteer as well, contributing my time and energy to the Creation Social Welfare Foundation in a similar capacity. I consider my work with the Creation Social Welfare Foundation a lifetime commitment and will therefore continually find ways to volunteer my increasingly professional skills toward charitable ends. I am impressed with Stern's commitment to furthering the causes of the less fortunate while at the same time embracing the potential prosperity of the global market economy.

Information systems are proving to be a benchmark of the global economy. Information technologies have directly encouraged the growth of globalization and globalization has in turn fostered the development of IT. I would like to assist small and new corporations to develop optimal IT systems that will render their businesses effective and competitive. My goals in helping…
