Relevance of Environmental Management in Today's Business Climate While today's business context serves our economy, its relevance with the proper management of our environment is setting up a great deal. Many businesses nowadays are in the light of running within the circle of commercial industries that strive not to present any negative effects to our environment. This arena is rapidly increasing especially in urban areas that are currently promoting improvements in combat to the decline of economy many nations around the world started to experience since two years ago.

Some of today's businesses aim to achieve their organization's objective without diminishing the safety of our environment. The endeavor is focused on making profits for their companies while protecting the environment. As indicated in their online business climate article, Perry County Development Corporation demonstrates this business line stating that Clean air and safe drinking water are everybody's concern, but the pro-business regulatory environment in Perry County ensures these needs can be protected without prohibiting your business from achieving its goals.

Nowadays, there are several environment regulatory programs that have been put up and were made available to assist companies comply with environment safety controls. An example of which is the Guide to Implementing Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in Jamaican Businesses. This EMS provides help to businesses in Jamaica in addressing environmental concerns. Another example is the Compliance and Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) of Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). CTAP assists companies on how to protect the environment by providing programs and workshops.

Even for small businesses, importance to environmental management is of great concern. Because complying with environmental regulations are complicated and challenging, environment assistance laws and agencies (example: Clean Air Resource Center of Ohio) are currently scattered in many nations and states. Push and Pull Factors of Environmental Management Inevitably, our environment is affected by diverse push and pull factors brought by the continuous development of many cities.

Some of the push and pull factors of environmental management are The establishment of commercial businesses whose fundamental source of profits involve several effects to our environment.

For instance, factories that emit air pollutions are one of the elements that cause global warming; The emigration of people from one state to another which can present additional environmental problems and burdens to a state; Socio-economic and environmental elements such as the exploitation of the forests and seas; Revolution of technology - the fast and rapid development of different state-of-the-art products that facilitate tasks and help.
