¶ … career plans and how will the Pepperdine degree help you reach your long-Term goals?
Pepperdine's program for a Master of Science in Global Business is an ideal fit for both my short-term and long-term career goals. My short-term goal is to attain an entry-level position with a global fashion company to learn about the international fashion industry's production and marketing facets. Springing from my interim goal, my long-term goal is to use my Pepperdine MS Degree in Global Business to pursue a career in global marketing management in the international fashion industry. This long-term career goal is highly compatible with my life-long stance as a citizen of the World who loves to travel, engages readily with many different cultures and fully appreciates the well-being concept of international human development. I have a strong foundation and impetus for pursuing both those goals and anticipate enhancing my strengths for a successful career in international fashion by expanding my knowledge and expertise in the field with Pepperdine's MS degree in Global Business.
My background is well-suited for international business, particularly in the fashion industry. Though a native-born American citizen, I lived in Korea as a child, Korean is my first language and I am fortunate to have visited Korea yearly since preschool for summer or winter breaks. In addition, while earning my undergraduate degree in Human Development at California State University at Long Beach, I was an exchange student at the University of Leicester, England. My education at Leicester was my most memorable undergraduate experience, as I was able to attend school with other students from all over the world and share diverse cultural practices and ideas with them. My life's already-global character would be enriched by Pepperdine's chiefly transnational and tight knit community of MS program students, the anticipated trimester of study abroad, and the opportunity to meet multinational business executives and summer internship at an international company.
