¶ … passion for politics and the government. I believe I can make a change in the world and the country I live in. Therefore, I chose to pursue a degree in International Relations. A degree in International Relations means not just a potential career in government and politics, it also means I will have expanded knowledge in other areas, including non-government job opportunities. Academically speaking, I'll expand my horizons and learn about the ways of the government.

Professionally speaking, I'll prepare myself for a career of my choosing in a field I most desire to be in. Personally, I get to share my knowledge of the world with others and gain knowledge from others learning to apply my knowledge to the real world through research. How does an International Relations degree affect my academic prospects and change my perspective? This kind of degree enables me to learn about diplomacy and acquire a new foreign language.

This is because learning about other cultures, including their languages, will allow me to grow as a student and advance more readily in my major. I think the best part is getting to engage in not just presentation/communication, but also research and analysis. I actively learn about public policy and develop my oral communication skills through presentations. Applying my knowledge through computer and statistical applications will also allow me to develop a heightened level of analysis that I did not possesses before.

I get a chance to participate in political action groups, internships, and student government and learn what it would take to work in my chosen field. By pursuing this degree, I learn to be efficient and effective at collecting and organization information and develop better social skills as I work more in groups. My favorite subjects, international security and espionage and intelligence expand my interest even further my helping me develop my passions for data collection and analysis.

When I complete my degree and internship, I can pursue a career at any public office or government agency. Those that earn their degree in International Relations can work as legislative aids and even consider a foreign services career. Getting to work with esteemed and top government organizations and gaining knowledge of other countries is an amazing opportunity, especially if I join the diplomacy or intelligence/security departments.

Even if I did not want to pursue a career in the government, I know I can take my degree into the field of business and law. The global market has gone online and has created a plethora of job opportunities for those aware of the world and all it has to offer. I can assist businesses with relations, even specialize in finance making the degree a great way to traverse various aspects of employment.

I think the main reason I want to graduate with a degree in Personal Relations is because I enjoy being around people and exploring my.
