Ethical Issues in Business Three areas are worth mentioning that Company Q. could consider when improving their business attitudes. First of all, they should have kept those stores open that were in the higher-crime rate areas of the city. This is no reason in which to close the store because of this issue. In fact, the organization can make much revenue in these areas because of the fact that they will have high traffic for people to come in and purchase their products. What they should have considered is doing a survey for people to fill out in order to find out whether or not to keep it at that particular location or to move to another in which to gain as much revenue as possible (Early, 2002).

Regardless, by them committing this act, they are showing that they do not trust the people in that part of the city and refuse to do business with them. As a result, they will lose business because of failing to do everything possible to meet their needs as well. This is something that they can easily avoid if they would take the time...

Ultimately, both parties would benefit because of having the food needed to survive as well as a means in which for that part of town for one to access it in an efficient manner (Reality Sandwich, 2011).
The next suggestion is important as well. What Company Q. needs to do is to have background checks for all of their employees as well as security cameras in place to watch criminal activity. This will prevent from any kind of theft and fraud from taking place or at least to minimize it. By the grocery store taking these measures, they are able to make a difference in the community they serve on a regular basis. In fact, they are able to do this as a means in which to screen every future prospective employee that goes through their door and wanting to work for them on a regular basis. Through this, they are protecting their organization from crime as well as from those who might try to exploit the business to their own benefit (Early, 2002).
