ExxonMobil is the biggest public Oil and Gas Corporation in the world, providing fundamental energy for bettering the life of several billion individuals across the globe.

Energy access supports human mobility, comfort, social growth, and economic prosperity. It affects almost all facets of modern living (ExxonMobil, 2015). How does ExxonMobil manage its reputation and corporate citizenship? ExxonMobil's Report on Corporate Citizenship states that the company adopts a methodical strategy in the management of its worldwide operations, and employs measures for successful operations in multiple settings. The company's superior business ethics and conduct standards are the basis for its current as well as future success.

The key component of ExxonMobil's corporate culture is its commitment to integrity and ethics. All members of the organization are required to maintain the highest business integrity standards. The company's board of directors holds the view that shareholders' best interests can be served by a leadership structure that integrates the positions of chief executive and board chairman. The process of board appointment fosters diversity, in terms of race, gender, experience, geography, and areas of expertise; this is crucial for organizational success in today's era of globalization.

The compensation structure at ExxonMobil has been diligently developed in favor of long-standing shareholder value, keeping in mind the industry's nature: capital-intensive, extreme significance of corporate risk management, and long lead times of investment. Company directors espouse transparent and honest communication on issues of corporate citizenship. Shareholders have the option of emailing non-employee company executives or forwarding a written correspondence to the corporation's Secretary. Health The organization funds initiatives that aim for healthcare improvements, particularly in developing regions of the world, as it holds the belief that good health forms a keystone for economic progress, alleviation of poverty, and societal development (ExxonMobil, 2015b). Environment The organization supports a wide array of environmental agencies and institutes, including organizations furthering environmental conservation, research, and education (ExxonMobil, 2015b).

Arts and Culture The company specifically backs cultural and arts groups, including museums, festivals, performing arts, and historical groups, which support native cultures and arts access in key communities (ExxonMobil, 2015b). Areas for Improvement ExxonMobil's emphasis, in the environmental domain, is ecosystem preservation, instead of preservation of distinct endangered species; the company can alter its focus to give more importance to species.

Though the field of culture and arts isn't a high-priority domain to concentrate one's contributions on, the company can improve focus on it, to bring about more positive outcomes (ExxonMobil, 2015b).
