Fetal Treatment In perusing the Fetal Treatment Center Website the first thing that is noticeable is that it is written as if the only individuals who would be entering the website's domain are ones that are fluent in medical jargon and circumstances. It is obvious that the website was created with a specific audience in mind, and that if the particular audience that it was designed for was also the audience that perused the website, then the two entities would be a perfect pair.

On the other hand, if it happened to be a lay person that was perusing the website in search of certain information, then the website is not quite as conducive to its implied purpose as in other circumstances. Critiquing the website from the viewpoint of what it has to offer the informed and knowledgeable patron, it is very informative, and very accessible. The website provides in-depth information on Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH).

According to the website, the sponsoring organization (Fetal Treatment Center, FTC) is the most prolific and proficient CDH treatment center in America. The FTC has been conducting surgery and research on CDH for over two decades. Enhancing the information contained on the website, is a pleasing design, as well as an overall organized manner that ensures the viewer is able to navigate the site with ease. A big help to the viewer is the way that the specific information on CDH itself, is laid out.

The categories of information are very visible and methodical, while leading the viewer through CDH from the beginning with an overview, providing information on treatments, the ongoing research on CDH and even information on CDH support groups. Visiting the pages on CDH is enlightening as well. The pages are informative, easy to read, and understandable, even the lay person can understand these pages of the website. Especially helpful are the dissertations and studies that are provided by the website as links for those who are interested.

The website was last updated on July 7, 2006 which means that the information contained on the website is recent, even the papers contained therein. The papers provided by the website were written by knowledgeable and qualified individuals, most working or studying in the field for a number of years. Especially helpful for individuals searching for information on treatments available concerning CDH was a poignant and touching story of a young couple that discovered their soon-to-be born baby daughter had developed CDH.

Their story was told in simplistic, yet effective, language that the viewer did not have to have a degree to understand. Other key elements of the website included additional information on other congenital birth defects that the FTC also specialized in. These diseases included; Congenital Cystic Adnomatoid Malformation, Pulmonary Sequestration, Gastroschisis and even Urinary Tract Obstruction. The website included information on numerous other defects suffered by infants and in utero babies.

Helpful information contained on the website could also be found on the other pages of the website that are conducive to those individuals who are familiar with the methods of traversing such websites. That information included an easy method for ascertaining and then contacting the correct physician for any particular fetal defect.

If an individual, or concerned couple, did not know of what particular defect affected their yet-to-be born child, or just wished to have a physician contact them with further information, the website allowed them to do that as well. The website listed over 900 physicians available for consultation through their network, as well as a complete list of insurance companies that provided funding for the various services.

For those individuals desiring an employment opportunity, the website had a page listing the various openings at the facility as well as a guide to the different salaries that went with those jobs. Perhaps most importantly, the website seemed to provide a modicum of hope to those people whose circumstances may have seem the most hopeless. With the information provided by the website,.
